NYCC 2015: Valiant Acquisitions and Thoughts

Post by Scarabus »

Hello Fam,

NYCC 2015 is now over. This was my third year going to this event and I wanted to be planned and fully prepared so I could make the most out of it. I tried to take my sketch hustle to another level. I believe it was a success and I am happy with the outcome of a very Valiant centric show for me. Here are some quick thought and images from the show.

Valiant had a large presence at this convention with the largest booth they have had yet. Premiering at this event were sublimated Valiant shirts, and hand painted mugs of Shadowman and Ninjak to promote the newest Ninjak arc that will re introduce Shadowman. I am glad to see we are finally getting more quality Valiant merchandise popping up as an effect of the recent movie annoncments.

The panel this year focused on what if coming after the Book of Death story concludes. A new arc of Ninjak taking place in the dead side, reintroducing my beloved Shadowman, as well as the upcoming arc of Bloodshot Reborn featuring the Shadowmen Cult is something I am anticipating greatly considering the hole currently existing that Shadowman can only fill. Catching a glimpse of the upcoming statues was something behold as the Rai statue captured the Clayton Crain designs wonderfully and is a must have for my collection when released.

As allways the Valiant crew and creators were wonderful to talk to and I look forward to returning next year to see Valiant's continued growth as we near the coming of the Valiant films in our near future.

Below are my Valiant related acquisitions and images from the show.

Those are some awesome sketches! Looks like you had a successful con.
Alone, listless, breakfast table in an otherwise empty room.

+1 to the above. The Kindt Rai with the gold sword is my favorite...but it's a hard choice given the options!
