Someone needs to pay better attention to where they put the decimal point.jmatt wrote:An honest question: What is the point of that? A 9.8 went for $369 back in November. Is he trying to set a different benchmark for the book somehow? He must have a reason, I just don't know what it is.BloodShot wrote:Uhm, say do what now?

No, seriously

What's the worst that'd happen? It'd sell for that

Re: Divinity #1 price/sales tracking
Finally listed it..
And its a bargain compared to the CGC 9.8 that's out there.

I've really tempted to list my 9.9 for something crazy and see what happens. In all seriousness what do you think a Divinity 1 1:40 CGC 9.9 would sell for?

Guess I didn't pay attention! I didn't realize he was selling one. If this sells I could put the CGC copy up and see if there is a difference between CBCS and CGC prices?!mkb28 wrote:Let's all watch Jason's listing and see:Intrepidxc wrote:I've really tempted to list my 9.9 for something crazy and see what happens. My guess is about 2.5x the going 9.8 rate, or less, depending on level of interest. My guess is the $700-1100 range is what the street value might be. But, you never know. Someone might want it bad enough.

Meh not worth it then. I'll wait to see the final sale price of this copy. I'd need enough to get a 9.8 replacement and pickup some key books on my list in 9.8.nycjadie wrote:My guess is about 2.5x the going 9.8 rate, or less, depending on level of interest. Yeah, it's hard to say with 9.9s. Maybe someone will bite. I'm pretty sure nobody will bite at $2500, but you never KNOW!

Re: Divinity #1 price/sales tracking
I'm in a strange space, since I have the CGC 9.8 SS copy which is difficult to replace or upgrade. I would easily pay $1,000 for a 9.9, and once the registry set point system issues is corrected/updated, the additionally value of the 9.9 might become more compelling.
I think if listed long enough, a $1,500-$2,000 range is certainly possible. I seriously do not believe a flood of 9.9's is coming, so for a guy like me, who wants to have the best possible set, I can see someone forking up that cash.
This will be even more true in the event that there is a significant registry point jump between a 9.8 and a 9.9 down the road. Right now it's not massive; but if it were 100-200 points...

Yeah, the registry points allocated to VEI books is seriously out of whack.

Re: Divinity #1 price/sales tracking
I was accused yesterday as being the seller for both the $4,500 CGC 9.8 and Chris's CGC 9.9.
Apparently, as the conspiracy goes, I wrote the article last year so that I could control the market and then list these books for sale for $1,000's.
Only problem is, that I've never actually sold a Divinity book on eBay (that I recall...) and the two in question aren't mine anyhow! Not that it would matter since we live in a capitalist society and things like money sort of both exist and matter, but it's wild how people get when they start hating.
I DID promote my Golden Ticket sale however. Guilty as charged lol!
I suspect that the outcome would have been exactly the same though. Also, advertising isn't a crime last I checked.

Does anyone know when in April Divinity II ships? I'm going to put up for auction one of the triple-signed Divinity #1 9.8s during each month of its run.

Many thanks. I thought it was odd that try as I might, I couldn't find a ship date for the title.

Re: Divinity #1 price/sales tracking
If anyone is interested, I have listed one of the triple-signed Divinity #1A copies.
I will be selling a few of them during the Divinity II release months. While I am entertaining offers in the Ebay sale toward the end of the 30 day listing period, I will deduct 10% from the price for any board member who wishes to purchase outside of Ebay at the BIN price. Free shipping.
Thanks for looking, and even if you're not sure if you're interested, an Ebay "watch" would be helpful.
PS - The reflection of my face in space is kinda hilarious. I am "The Unknown".
