Difference between TPB & HC - The Valiant & Divinity?
What's the difference between the deluxe editions and trades of The Valiant and Divinity?
The solicitations are identical but deluxe editions are supposed to have way more pages:
TPBs - 112 pages
HCs - 160 pages
Is that right and if so, what's the extra extra content in the deluxe editions?

Well not sure about Divinity but my Hardcover edition of The Valiant has several pages of early pencil work and designs, early/post-editing scripts for the artist, some related 1-page short stories and short interview questions with Matt Kindt, Jeff Lemire and Paolo Rivera.
I collect Valiant Deluxe Hardcovers almost exclusively so it seems to be common. I recommend the Deluxe Edition if you can swing it.

Sounds good. I've been thinking about getting myself a couple of hardcovers since I convinced a friend to start reading Valiant comics and getting him the Rai Deluxe Edition which is pretty cool.badlander86 wrote:Well not sure about Divinity but my Hardcover edition of The Valiant has several pages of early pencil work and designs, early/post-editing scripts for the artist, some related 1-page short stories and short interview questions with Matt Kindt, Jeff Lemire and Paolo Rivera.

I guess these short stories are the Tales of the Valiant. It'd be nice to finally have them on printed paper, too.
