This ranks right up there with the 50 copies of Secret Weapons 2.
I really wish I could find 92 copies of Rai 9.

Okay that was bad but I couldn't resist. The book wasn't THAT bad...at least the art was really good.

I was simultaneously thinking two thoughts from this thread while looking at this - "This would make a good VcVSS, waitaminnit...." and "why would anyone price-sticker ANY comic?" I wouldn't even do that to any of the early Image crap..... I have my honor, man!!!

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

The overstock/odd lot/crap stores do that. When I was buying VIABs, I would get them with stickers from "Odd Lot" or "Spags" or even "Kmart" sometimes.slym2none wrote:I was simultaneously thinking two thoughts from this thread while looking at this - "This would make a good VcVSS, waitaminnit...." and "why would anyone price-sticker ANY comic?" A board memeber just just told me he got some of the Acclaim CIs with stickers on them from a 'crap' seller.

Oh, that was nothing. I can get really nasty if you wantDaniel Jackson wrote:Alright, there's no need to get nasty.tcolli wrote:Well then, I have some Turok 1's that might interest youshaxper wrote:I don't know. When I found an auction on Ebay a few years ago for 200 copies of the Maxx #1, I just couldn't pass it up for $22 shipped.shaxper wrote:I don't know. There's just something pointlessly cool about owning 90+ copies of any comic book. If I had the space and they weren't stickered, I'd consider it.

That's funny, I made a similiar purchase like that years ago. I bought 100 copies each of Darker Image #1 (sealed) and Maxx#1 and #2. After shipping, I think I ended up paying 10 cents a book. This was before I had access to the 'net, so I actually found this offer in the Comics' Buyers Guide. I thought at some point, I'd be able to flip these for a profit, but the print run was just too huge, I guess. I think I ended up donating them or selling them to Half Price Books or something.Mr.V wrote:When I found an auction on Ebay a few years ago for 200 copies of the Maxx #1, I just couldn't pass it up for $22 shipped.shaxper wrote:I don't know.
