Good read. A little confused by the bankruptcy part though.

Great piece. I think he's referring to shedding the game licenses and such with Acclaim.Aram wrote:Good read. A little confused by the bankruptcy part though.

I thought so too, but we know the history. I think it might look rather funny to the uninitiated.jmatt wrote:Great piece. I think he's referring to shedding the game licenses and such with Acclaim.Aram wrote:Good read. A little confused by the bankruptcy part though.

Maybe I just haven't been following all of the Valiant news religiously recently, but I hadn't heard a Faith movie mentioned previously.

Re: Valiant Is Building The Next Cross-Media Superhero Unive
Valiant has been building nicely on a few fronts. Interesting of Forbes to take notice, I feel that says something positive towards what's happening at VEI.
That said I also feel some stagnation has set in. It's time to fully set in and start having 10+ books a month routinely and regularly on the shelves and with longer lasting runs( Gen Zero, EW, Ivar, Faith) and less rebooting(XO, BS & Ninjak).

Re: Valiant Is Building The Next Cross-Media Superhero Unive
As much as I might like this, Valiant needs to be careful not to push out more books than it should. Too many books spreads quality thinly. Hell, I'm not sure that Marvel can honestly publish 10 STRONG titles (story and art) consistently.Captain Craig wrote:It's time to fully set in and start having 10+ books a month routinely and regularly on the shelves and with longer lasting runs( Gen Zero, EW, Ivar, Faith) and less rebooting(XO, BS & Ninjak).
I would rather have 5 STRONG Valiant titles as opposed to 3 STRONG, 2 ok, and 5 questionable titles.
