I managed to get a copy yesterday. They flew out the door of the 2 shops I go to, but my regular gave me one of the 2 he was holding for "regular customers" (which is me). It's my weekend reading. Super long double/triple sized issue.

I was told a 2nd print is already in the works.

This is the only other comic I get from a non valiant publisher. It was twd that got me back into comics just before valiant came back.
This has hit me harder than glens death.
I Miss the good old days.

Kinda scratching my head over this manoeuvre. Haven't read the issue yet, but I would have happily continued reading for years to come even after the events of recent issues.

This is actually a real bummer.

I had the 1,000,000th post on this board and all I got was this lousy custom ranking.

If I had to guess... he got into creating comics at age 22 to make a living.
At age 40, he now has all the money he'll ever need.

George Lucas was done with Star Wars at age 39.

Yeah, I agree it’s quite likely that he is feeling beyond wealthy enough at this point - his motivation to keep grinding away at writing this particular title may have waned. Also likely that he additionally wanted to go out while it’s still on top.

It’s the weird idea of secretly planning to end the title at a strange random number that I find most odd (especially when it’s so close to a big anniversary like the 200th issue). And he went to great lengths to keep it secret up until the release date - there’s just no real point to that.
