We all know the last 3 years have been dire, but there’s a new guy in charge and the newly announced releases might be a turning point.

Got to be XO for me, Liam Sharp’s early visuals look immense and he’s an A list creator that we’ve been waiting for!

I had to think about it between X-O and Shadowman. I voted for Shadowman.

I wanna see what JDH can do with Bloodshot but I'm equally excited about Book of Shadows and Becky Cloonan on XO.

I'm excited for Book of Shadows, Bloodshot, and XO. Not sure what to make of Armorclads. I will be buying it, but I'm lukewarm on it. Also I hate the idea of NFT people getting bonus content that I won't be able to get.
Anyway, this was an easy pick for me. Shadowman is my favorite characters, AND I've been craving more interaction between big characters, so a Shadowman team-up book is aces with me.

Greg only uses this message board to harvest our data and sell to direct marketing companies. How do you think he pays for the security guards protecting his storage of valiant comics.Dallow Spicer1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 4:24:20 pm We all know the last 3 years have been dire, but there’s a new guy in charge and the newly announced releases might be a turning point.

I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

Get on the right side of history, Dallow. It's all about the Book of Shadows.Dallow Spicer1 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 9:37:10 amNo worries Gregg. Pretty shocked at the results so far, thought XO would run away with it.

Re: Let’s get optimistic for 2022’s new releases…here’s a poll!
Hard call between Shadowman and XO, but given that I don't like the new 'Muscley XO' design I went with Shadowman for my 1 vote. Looking forward to all of it with the exception of the dubiously titled 'Armourclads' just because it's a totally new property. Could be great, could be pants, give it a read before I decide which...

My valiant story started with XO, but I vote shadowman as I am not enjoying XO at the moment, and think showman is the book I am really enjoying.Shadowman99 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 4:20:14 am Hard call between Shadowman and XO, but given that I don't like the new 'Muscley XO' design I went with Shadowman for my 1 vote. Besides, Shadowman seems to be in good hands with Cullen Bunn. The other creative teams still have to proof it.

Tough call, went with Bloodshot here. I could have easily gone X-O or Book of Shadows, but some of the previews of Bloodshot seems to be picking up right where the last book ended. While it's not continuity from all the previous Bloodshot books, having SOME type of continuity is important.
Last book was OK, and while I figure there will be tons of blood and guts, having Bloodshot stop being a bullet catcher (that's all he seems to be in the last few books) and show some humanity will be a good thing.

Re: Let’s get optimistic for 2022’s new releases…here’s a poll!
I'm one of the three that went with "None of 'em" because all of them are wait and see for me. I'll pick each up and read them, but there's not a ton to go on with these creative teams.
Armorclads - The series literally no one was asking for. When the only Google results about a writer are two Bleeding Cool stories asking who in the world said writer is, that's concerning. Preview artwork looks decent though.
Archer & Armstrong Forever - Happy A&A are back, but this is a wildly unproven creative team. The little bit of bibliography and artwork in a Google search has me flipping between "This could be fun" and "This could be an utter disaster."
Book of Shadows is just more Cullen Shadowman. Which is why it's the winner here, but, for me, is honestly a book that is way up and down. Not a big fan of Bunn's writing style on anything but like aspects of the story and really don't like other aspects (personification of certain things). Enjoying the artist on the first issue of the current arc, but no clue about this artist other than what a Google search brings back which is interesting but a bit problematic when it comes to the female anatomy.
Bloodshot is by a guy with one Scout mini-series to his name. And Davis-Hunt whose work leaves me cold. The mature readers angle feel more like pandering, lowest common denominator to me. This is probably the one I'm genuinely not interested in at all and am only getting and reading because it's Valiant.
I thought I was excited by Cloonan being on X-O then realized I haven't read anything she and Conrad have written. I just love her art. Still in to see what they can do, but that teaser image is, to my eye, hideous. I mean I haven't seen Liam Sharp artwork in at least 15 years, but that upper body is just not okay.

I wonder if they should ask us to write a series (I.e. Valiant fans). It worked for Star Trek Next Generation. Fans wrote many of those episodes. Why not Valiant? Heck, I’d do it for free.
