That Magnus destroying the Manowar armor is a great shot but that was Unity 2000 if I'm not mistaken. I can't give it too much credence

I'd argue that Magnus' ability makes him Gilad's equal, not superior.
:hm: We need evidence of Gilad punching through extremely hard objects. Magnus did it routinely.
I can't check their fight in the X-O Manowar Yearbook right now. If one of you has it handy, maybe you can check if Gilad caused any damage to the Good Skin using his bare hands.
Just checked and Gilly manages to hit XO once, with a rock lol

no damage
Maybe he should have tried using his hand, lol.
heh heh. We could also wonder what was the density of X-O's armor? It's obviously not real metal since it's an organic alien material. Maybe it was slimy and somewhat gelatinous, like when it wraps around his body? Maybe he could make it harder through how he concentrated?

These are from an issue of Previews.

You might be thinking of the database that came with the trade.

The database is for Aric's first armor, this one is for the second.

Nice find, I've never seen those. What a shame that such nice pages were only ever published in Previews. I wish that VH1 had done guidebooks like the Marvel Handbooks, with all original art. If only they'd have hired Gruenwald away from Marvel after Shooter left *sigh*

That would have been great. The closest they got was the VALIANT Reader.

Forgot about that one. Darque Passages was a little similar too.

I had the 1,000,000th post on this board and all I got was this lousy custom ranking.

Missed this one. I'm torn on U2k. On one hand it's the last appearance of many characters in their original versions by the guy who wrote them the best. On the other hand a lot of it does feel out of character. :?

Tekla and Magnus were strictly platonic.

Just saw some comparisons in Unity. In Archer & Armstrong 1 Albert seems to rank Magnus only slightly above Gilad. Asked who (except for Aram) can knock a robot's block off he answers: "Magnus, Rai, X-O... probably Gilad, too". In Rai 7 Erica says (shortened) "Gilad...doesn't have the raw might...Magnus does have that brute strength"

Yes Yes, and she has been keeping an eye on them and studying them all. She would probably know!
