Chaos was Lame!
I really enjoyed the Unity series but when Chaos series came around, I thought it was going to be good......Not!

It wasn't all bad but nowhere near Unity. Chaos worked good in the Alpha and Omega books as well as the Necromatic books (Shadowman, Dr. Mirage, SOTVU) The rest of the books had a hard time fitting in some worked some sucked. I think it would have played out a lot better if they had given it a little more time maybe a two month storyline instead of one.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

And the getting rid of Master Darque :x , the declaration that A & A and Geoff were Darque's greatest enemiesjedimarley wrote:Chaos launched Timewalker, Visitor, and Geomancer. And saw the end of A&A.Chuck wrote:Back on topic.
I think the main reason for Chaos Effect was the introduce THE VISTOR

I did enjoy a few issues in there. The Shadowman issue and the Secrets of the Valiant Universe issue it continued into were great (but Bob Hall usually was).
EW was interesting. Looking back through it...Gilad had a red headed lover named Julia that Malloch stole from him. Was that a coincidence or a set up for something that never happened?

yeah those were pretty good-but fell a little flat since you knew that he was not going tobe able to meet kris (which would have been weird) they should have come up with something better that prevented them from meeting...i thought it plaguerized terminator a little too-riding around on the bike. that could have been really great if he had gotten into a huge fight with harada hisself...imagine...was harada out of his coma and all that then?

The Chaos Effect was an alright story, but I wasn't satisfied with several aspects. They never really said what caused it, it just sort of happened. Then Magnus ran around for awhile in the Valiant present, but we didn't get to see hardly any of his adventures, or how exactly he got back to the future. And when he did get back, his face was all messed up! Did they ever explain any of these plot holes?

All set up for future stories that never saw the light of day (probably due to the change in direction once Accliam bought the company). The Chaos Effect was supposed to be the necromatic energy from the end of the world but, of course, Ivar couldn't remember anything about itChristopher Martin wrote:The Chaos Effect was an alright story, but I wasn't satisfied with several aspects. Anything's possible, I suppose. Some of the plotlines actually had potential if they had been done (Magnus in the 20th century, for instance).jedimarley wrote:Does anyone think that if Acclaim never bought Valiant that something positive would have came from Chaos Effect?
Of course, if Valiant hadn't wanted to sell itself, then they wouldn't have put out so many titles stretching their creative force so thin and turning the majority of the line into unreadable mush. It would've been an entirely different company. Heck, Chaos Effect might have even been good if that had happened!

It would of been great to see glimpses of the end of the world. What year it was and why Ivar was there.....Todd Luck wrote:All set up for future stories that never saw the light of day (probably due to the change in direction once Accliam bought the company). I read somewhere that the world ended because a lot people in that future time could use necromatic energy and they ended blowing the Earth up (can't remember where I read that at).
