Well, Even though I think Acclaim is trash, I have to thank them for my Valiant start. My cousin, whom shall remain nameless cuz it doesnt really matter, was playing Turok for the 64. He then got turok 2, and whatever else came out that was turok related cuz they were good games. I was at second blessing, and I saw a small basket of comics. I was a gijoe collector then(about 96 or 97), and saw...Turok #5! Well, since it was 25 cents, I bought it. I found turok 2-4 later on, and elated. I took them to give to my cousin, who really could care less if its not electronic(unless its chess[New Mexico state champ a few years back]) so I kept the books. I collected turok for a while, and eventually discovered heroes comics and collectibles, which I call: the land of the 10 cent comics. I started to buy a lot of bloodshot comics. I discovered the chaos effect series, and because there was the checklist on the little card, I decided to collect the entire chaos effect set. It is because of this that I decided I wanted to know what the hell was going on in each of these other series. That combined with this site, made me decide to just collect each one.

So, all in all, my story is, good things come from the most unlikely places(i.e. acclaim as a whole, and chaos effect[go figure]!

huh, i just realized. i mean, i really do like valiant comics, but i dont know if id like em as much if i didnt know you guys. so...thanks

I think you're right Jacknife, Acclaim was pretty much trash, although my parrots sure did seem to enjoy them. They got to see a few pages every other day.

How dare you give Acclaim comics to your parrots, give them some real crap like the Image Deathmate issues or X-O #16. I demand that everyone read some Acclaim issues and enjoy.

I dunno, if he had used Image deathmate issues he probably would have been attacked by some society to prevent cruelty to parrots! Of course if that hadn't happened he would probably have been eventually attacked by the parrots themselves.

He's not wrong. Me and my parrots recently had a falling out. I tried to talk sense to them but they kept repeating everything I said, mocking me.

Note: No matter how much BBQ sauce you use, they still don't taste like chicken.

Thats exactly why Pirates had Parrots. They were food when the other food ran out. Arrrr!
