That one, like Layton's, appears to have a pointy top. Congrats Dan. I assume you told Paul that they were valuable, but he wanted you to have it anyway...

Is that your first or do you have another?

Yeah I offered to pay a good price for it and he said he wouldn't feel right about taking money for it. I asked to at least pay for shipping and he
wouldn't have it. This is my first and only. I've been looking out for one of these for a long time! DAN

Goes to show you what a nice guy Paul Fairchild is.
Is he a member of the board? Does he know it exists?

Congrats Dan :thumb:

i always looked forward to my monthly phone calls with paul when i worked in the comic retail business.

i never had marvel, dc or image calling asking how sales were...what they could do to help...what seemed to be working and what wasn't...valiant cared for every facet of the industry then.

it's awesome as hell to know that the guys who made the comics we all love think as highly of us as we think of them.

congrats dan, awesome score and paul fairchild is STILL the man.

Very cool... if I remember correctly, back in the day when it first came out, I talked to him a couple of times and he sent me a Keith Giffen Punx 3. Just cause. Nice guy.

Maybe we should keep a registry of the known owners of these 100 boxes. By "we" I mean - "Greg". :-)

We know Dan has #15 with a clear lineage to Mr. Fairchild.

I bought mine from Mr Layton, and have a letter from him confirming that particular number was his. (can't remember the number, I'll post that later.)

I bought another one from Mr. VanHook and sold it (at a loss, in order to finance buying the color cover to Harbinger 1, which went out of range anyway :-( ) to Mr. Sire. I'm sure Mr. Sire will let us know the number and if he has any more of them.

I think VK and Erskine also have or have had at least one of these as well. Any more we know of?
