Okay, this isn't that far away, let's start a thread!
Who's going to this Con in NYC this year? It's one of my favorites (ever since last year when I hit FIVE 9.8s out of seven books submitted for CGC on-site grading!!). A three-day Con, lots of great artists, plus
ON-SITE GRADING!
Although the fee for on-site moderns is $22 per which is considerably more than the approximate $13 per if you submit through a rep who gets 20% off, remember that there is no insurance and postage fees (you normally would pay for that both ways to Fla, and registered mail ain't cheap either) and, more importantly, the wait time is reduced from approximately forever to overnight or two-day so that you get the books back by the end of the Con. In the event they can't finish by the end of the Con, the books go back to Fla and are sent out ahead of everything else in the regular service tiers.
There's something to be said for that almost-instant gratification that comes with getting books back the next day, I must admit. Plus, who here thinks that these books get a less stringent review by the graders doing the on-site grading? I DO!
So, who's going to this show already?!

I've been on a short hiatus due to the shift changes at work. Not to mention a friend of mines got me hooked on Worlds of Warcraft. No worries I'm still constantly on ebay looking for books and I have yet missed any of the Big Apple shows. I post on and off over at Whet's Lyria Comic Exchange forums and almost done completing my full Uncanny X-Men run. Well Woogie, guess we'll have to meet up whenever we get the chance or I might decide to just take that Friday or Saturday off.
