That's a kick butt cover!

I think X-O may be noble enough to carry Mjolnir(sp?).

But he does kill spider-aliens with a blood lust. That might shoot his chances down a few notches.

We'll see what happens :hope: .

I don't think so.

I think XO is pretty honorable, but he seems like he can be pretty ruthless as times.

Truthfully, I can't think of anyone who is "good" enough...which is pretty realistic.

No.

Thor > Aric. Look at all the Valiant characters. They all had their personal flaws. You didn't see that with the other companies' heroes.

Honor doesn't determine whether or not you can lift Mjolnir. To lift it you have to be worthy, and in my op the only VALIANT character worthy of that would be the most unexpected one... Faith.

Hmm... you might be right about Faith, although I think Magnus would also be a good candidate. I do remember reading an issue of Thor or Captain America about 10 years ago where Cap was able to pick up Mjolnir.

XO as Thor looks great, however, Turok as Thor doesn't work for me.

I like the X-O piece better too, but I thought I would post both of them.

Faith is a good guess.

What about Geoff McHenry? Is he too manipulative?

or Archer? Or is Archer's hatred of his parents too much?

That X-O pic did look great, but "Thorok" didn't really float well... great art, though!

Both Superman and Wonder Woman have lifted the hammer.

Worthy could mean innocence.

The Thorok is a bit too much of a culture clash.

I'm not saying it can't be pulled off.

It's just a bit goofy.

Wait - post-Crisis, Clark and Diana lifted Thor's hammer? Was this during Busiek's JLA/Avengers? I find it hard to believe that KB would consider these incarnations of the characters, at least, to be deemed 'worthy' by the gods of lifting Mjolnir. That's not to say that I think the current Superman or WW are bad people or 'unworthy,' but they have very definite failings and issues in terms of humanity, doubt, mistakes, etc. that would seem to make them ineligible for the hammer. (Diana even moreso since IC - she even appealed to her goddess for forgiveness before allowing herself to be exiled to Earth alone)

To answer the question, no, I do not think Aric could lift the hammer. The only people in the VU I could conceive of being capable of that would be maybe Archer, Solar or Geoff - Solar is certainly the most powerful, but he's sketchy in terms of humanity, so I doubt he could.

However, considering 'worthiness,' couldn't Thor be a bit of a *SQUEE* at times, or at least arrogant? Or was he exempt since he was the Odinson in the first place?
I do remember reading an issue of Thor or Captain America about 10 years ago where Cap was able to pick up Mjolnir.
At first I laughed when I read that, but thinking about it again, that I might be able to buy. Steve is a pretty pure guy.

Wonder Woman lifted the hammer in DC vs Marvel and Superman did it in Busiek's JLA/Avengers.
