Ditto. Something funky just happened because it went from 199 users down to 4 in less than 30 seconds...

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Looks like it's back to normal now. This one must not have lasted as long as the first time.

Evidently, it's not caused by the "bots" that are from search engines.
It's actually a worm (kinda like a virus) that is launched from somewhere
against messageboards which might be susceptible (like this one).
The name of the worm is "Santy", and it disguises itself as the bots of search engines.

Our "popularity" on Google seems to make us an easy target
(among thousands of others, I'm sure).
I made a couple of changes to some code (but it's not my server)
that might slow/stop future "attacks". I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Sorry about that guys ... Hobo and I decided to see what would happen if we signed on all our board IDs at one time.

Is that why I've been waiting these past ten minutes to get back on after seeing the CPU error message this morning?

If there was some way to "X" out the numbers and put the "adjusted total" next to it...
