Anyone notice we haven't seen any of the Valiant creators around in a while? I don't know if they've been reading here but not logging in or if they've just been too busy to stop by. I left a PM for Mr. Layton almost a week ago and it still hasn't been read. This was after I tried to e-mail him and wasn't able to get an answer that way, either. I just basically wanted to take him up on his generous offer to buy some Future Comics at half cover but had a question about the postage needed on the SASE.

Also, it's been a long time since I've seen Mr. Van Hook here, as well. Wasn't he involved in a writing project with some of the fans here? I was just hoping these guys didn't stop coming around because some of the silly behavior we've had here lately.

Sorry I haven't been around, but I started post-op physical therapy this week for the foot. That, and I had an accident over the weekend that re-injured the foot.
It's painful and rather time consuming--the therapy, I mean. Not posting on the message boards.
Also, Mrs. Layton has required some time from me to update my personal website (at:www.boblayton.com--for those who may be interested.)
And Kevin is a real busy guy these days. I'm sure he'll show up when he has a break.
Ah--It's good to be missed.

Well, speak of the devil!

Glad to see you're still checking in with us, Bob! I think one of the greatest things about this message board is being able to interact with the folks who created this wonderful comic book universe and get the real story on what went into making Valiant such a great company.

Anyway, like I mentioned, I'm interested in buying a copy of the Freemind Bound Volume if you're still offering the Future books for sale. I've been able to pick up most of the other Future books in runs and I really enjoy them. I know you requested anyone buying from you send a SASE, but I wasn't sure how much postage to attach since I'm sure the bound volume is heavier than just a regular comic. I could enclose some extra dough for the postage if that's easier, just let me know.

Sorry to hear about the setback with your foot. I've never had to have surgery, but I used to have a lot of foot problems with my old job since I had to stand at a press for an 8 hour shift. That stuff is not fun. Best wishes for a quick recovery.

Joe

Has anyone here tried any of the Future Comics titles? Do they capture that "Valiant" feel? Maybe I can track down some on ebay. Are they still being produced? Does anyone have a checklist of the titles produced so far?

Thanks in advance 8-)

Hmm, won't seem to pop up for me either. Oh well, give it while. Hey Bob sorry to hear about you injuring your foot again. Maybe you should dig the ole rabbits foot out of your closet and put in your pocket. Hurry up and get better so you can post more.

I'm in pre-prep on my film

Post by VanHook »

Hey, guys--
I'm in pre-prep on The Fallen Ones--we start shooting in 4.5 weeks.
I'll be around more in a couple of months.

I know I owe some folks some comments on their plots and I'm going to REALLY TRY to get them done before next week.
Best,
KV
