Why's it have to be in the middle of the room?

I remember that there was a list made at some point. There were six or seven guys on the list. IIRC there were a couple of guys that had been waiting over a year. Is that right?jedimarley wrote:I've been waiting almost 2 months now.Technique wrote:What questions are you asking?jedimarley wrote:Same here. :xmyron wrote:zip, zilch, nada...not even a pm or e-mailjedimarley wrote:Nothing yet?myron wrote:

I am sure a few others will say my shipping skills suck as of last year and I take FULL responsibility. I am truly sorry and want to get you posting again.
Myron, I have your book and will gladly toss in the coin with it. No excuses, I suck at shipping and have had your book for months and months and months in my possession. Again, the duration is way too long and I take full responsibility.
CKB, I found the zip lock with the items in it. I will send you the items as well as the coin to make it even. I know you and I can square it away and I will very, very soon.
Dsire, I know when you and I spoke last, you weren't too worried, but I am and I too will square you away. Refund to come.
Byrneout, Same item as Dsire, will be mailed out with a full refund.
cinlach@aol.com, You and I have bounced emails off of each other the last couple of days. I will dig out the books you need to square you away as well. I think I have the four you need.
whetton, I haven't forgot you either. I have not gotten the book from from you know who, but I have the original one still in the mailer. Its your call, I can either mail it back, or drop some coin to you. Let me know, I know we haven't spoke about this, but I haven't forgotten you.

Can any of those names be scratched from the list?
Should any names be added to the list? I assume that there should be a "Jedimarley" line added. Anyone else?

ok, here's my situation...
justin posted last march about needing crossgen books...i had a good amount as the company was folding at the time and i was preparing to stick them on ebay.
he and i conversed a little and i told him i'd send the stuff to him for him to look at and then he could decide what of it, if anything, he wanted...we could then work out the specifics (trade or cash) then.
i boxed the books up, mailed them off, and nothing happened.
a few months later i pm'ed him and he said he'd been busy and forgot about it and that he'd actually been busy with an unnamed project...he said he'd get everything squared away.
a few more months later i sent him a couple of pm's and never heard back...i then started inquiring quietly among the members as to the best way to handle the situation. we had just settled some drama and i wasn't looking to start more without doing a little poking around first. i contaced greg and kc, and asked them for advice on how to proceed.
kc managed to get in contact with justin and he called me the next night...we talked for about 30 minutes or so and he apologized profusely. he had just gotten back into the states after a work trip to brazil and had simply allowed things to pile up. he said he was putting me at the top of the pile and we'd get squared away.
a few more months passed...justin and i were still exchanging pm's here and there and chatting occasionally in the chatroom, but still no movement on my crossgen books.
a few more months passed and the first whiff of this widespread problem came to light...i was not alone. i sent a couple of pm's and e-mails actually about totally separate subjects and all of them received no reply.
so here we sit, once again a few more months out and nothing's been resolved to anyone's satisfaction. in fact, it appears that nothing has happened at all, except now everyone is even more upset then they already were.
here's why i'm not totally *SQUEE*...
1. i'm not out any money. these were books i was going to sell on ebay so they could've gone for $100 or $15...who knows what the final sale price would've ended up being.
2. i'm not expecting something. it's not like i've been waiting on something to arrive for the past year and a quarter. for all i know he could look through those books, decide he doesn't want any of them and just send them back.
am i disappointed? hell yes.
the reason i sent the books in the first place was because i trusted justin to handle things in a timely manner...i mean, this is a dude who handled a good deal of money with the solar #1 vcvss...if he was gonna hose somebody he would've done it then right?
i totally understand why everyone's so *SQUEE* off. i'm not pleased with it but my situation isn't the same as everyone else's.
justin, if you're reading this...and i believe you are...i'm not looking to get things any more strained then they already are. all i want, hell all any of us want is to have our respective situations handled.
please, take care of jedi...take care of myron...take care of the folks who've paid money for things...then either send my books back or figure out what you want to trade for them.
let's get this settled...it's time to start repairing your reputation.
you're not a bad guy, you're having a tough time and it sucks but there's no reason to handle things like this.
do the right thing...do what we all expect and make this right.
be the person we remember you being and not the person you're perceived as now.

it's not so much the money...mine is only $35 bucks or so, it's more the principle of the thing...sorry to hear there are more added to that list as well...jedimarley wrote:I just hope these guys are not out of some serious coin.
And yes...add my name.

Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

I haven't heard from him since the NY Con...which is very unusual considering that we'd speak on the phone at least once a month since last Summer or so...
I was afraid a serious Valiant burnout was on its way when he spoke of so many projects he had going on at once....plus other Valiant related plans...
I'd give him the benefit of the doubt BUT it makes me wonder how much of it could have been total BS...
Naw, it's probably just severe burnout. Still in all, it's NO excuse to leave FRIENDS hanging.---Steve

for my part i'm much more anxious to see him take care of you guys then me.
like i said, i'm not out any money...just books i wasn't reading and didn't care about in the first place.
i'd much rather see him deliver to you guys first and then he and i can figure out how to finish our stuff.
