If someone is dumb enough to pay that price, they deserve to be ripped off.

The guy has 3 posts. The first 2 he was trying to figure out what he had and what it was worth. The guy did not even know what CEAR meant until he asked. I mean if I bought a CEAR for 70 cents id sell it too. I wouldnt start it at 185 dollars though. Id start it at the lowest possible price knowing that it would be bought i would be all profit anyways.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. All he's doing by listing it that much is throwing money away on ebay fees.

OH what have I done!

Post by cameron »

I promise the next time you see this book up for auction I will not start at 100 sodding pounds sterling! it was a complete accident honest.

I thought ten pound would cover ebay fees if thats all it went for looks like an extra zero just slipped itself in there.

Glad I could entertain you.

For the record, I am sufficiently embarrassed, i hang my head in shame.

not true...at least not all the time and we are VERY tame compared to many other boards.

As a group we do tend to get on certain things, but we are also very willing to forgive accidents...look at Jedimarley...his first 20 posts or so were in defense of an ebay listing....now he is a mainstay of the community.
Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

To be precise, he had no reason to defend the listing, only thing that was wrong was the automatic postage calculator, which is not his to defend. He simply confirmed that he used fair shipping prices. I can personally add that his shipping is fast and secure btw.
now he is a mainstay of the community.
Absolutely! If I don't see his late-night round of posts around lunch-time here I feel lost.

looks like he removed some of the info he "borrowed" from Greg's site, as well. Very good!
