I guess he can't tell the difference between the Ultraverse and the New Universe.

By the way, I just picked up a boatload of New Universe books for .50 each from....Mile High Comics, all of places!

They're currently running a codeword sale 50% off. Too bad they also doubled the prices on the better books! :!:

 Damn, I thought I had that sucker, but I wasn't going more than $20 shipped. I hope the nurse enjoys her book. Shouldn't she be reading Night Nurse? :?

not sure, I remember there was someone who kept outbidding us on Ultraverse books and we talked about them on the old Ultraverse forum. They found us and got their panties in a wad about some of the comments made. Not sure if that's who you're referring to or if it's the same person. :hm:

That's right, it was SiBill, I think. He or she is a member here, as well. I don't know if it the same person as this nursebetty, though. :?

OK my Ultraverse homeys... I think that I recently won the Strangers TPB. With all the auction stuff I have going on and everything it is hard to dig these out... but, DO I GET THIS BOOK IN ? I have been looking through threads to see if it showed up or not and can't find it. I think there was a question as to how great the seller was with some recent neg feedback but I just cannot remember if I got this Strangers TPB in.

I did get a deal on a Godwheel TPB here recently ($8.50 shipped - good price right ?) and am waiting on that to come in.

only problem I see is the guy has poor feedback, but if you're willing to take a chance...

Jumpstart: The Strangers TPB arrived today in uber-GREAT shape. WELL worth the $4.50 that I paid for it. I was sweatin' it for a few days but now all is well.

Yes, that IS a great starting bid, David... but this is a Bravura ashcan and not an Ultraverse ashcan. Yes, Bravura/Ultraverse/Malibu are pretty much the same company but fit within their own seperate Dead Universes.

Kinda pricey since there are so many other comics, but the Sega CD Prime ashcan is in here. You never see that damn thing on ebay.

Well it's not TOO bad considering there are other somewhat HTF Ultraverse ashcans in the mix. Not only do you get the Prime Sega CD ashcan (yes, VERY hard to find and almost never on Ebay - I think I scored mine from either Tom Mason or Stu on a dope deal), the regular Prime ashcan , two Hostile Takeover ashcans and a Godwheel ashcan. Not to mention a couple of the other pretty HTF Vampirella ashcans.

If the price stays low on this one, it might be worth it to one who is ashcan-less. Otherwise, try looking for the Prime Sega CD itself, sealed. It IS a very nice ashcan to have though.

I think I am finding that looking for the ashcans is in itself a Holy Grail quest.

And this is what I love about collecting the Ultravese... it is just FUN to collect this stuf and mostly inexpensive to do so.

go for it, David. I think Depluto, Knightt and I all already have that ashcan and it's a rare one, so if you can land it at a good price, snap it up! :thumb:
