SCARCE Valiant UNITY DIAMOND TPB Signed on ebay!!
Hey gang, this is my second and last copy of the Valiant Unity vol. 1 TPB that they, in cooperation with Diamond Distributors, sent out to thank retailers. Singed by 4 of the creative team members on this storyline, this book is one of the scarest Valiant books out and guides at $175.00 in near mint. There were only 500 to 1,000 copies printed and who knows how many are left. My last tpb was in beautiful very fine condition, but this gem is in NEAR MINT+ and flawless from what I can see.
Take a gander, please and good luck if you bid!

I've never seen #2. I actually picked up two copies of #1 this past summer and saved the second, better condition copy for ebay until now. I just posted several Valiant and Valiant/Acclaim books as well. Not nearly as scarce, but fun stuff, esp. the Darque Passages series!
Thanks for the compliment.

weird....
This ic a brilliant copy and yet remains with only 24 hours and less than the other vf copy I sold for $100.00. Someone is going to get a bargain unless there are a bunch of last minute snipes.

too funny
lmao..... you sneaky *SQUEE*!! That post alone reminds me of the fun written into Harbinger and Archer & Armstong that enabled me to enjoy the characters in those runs. I may just have to dig them out and reread them. It has been probably been more than 5 years...

yep
Yep, I know. I work with what I have. In this case it is rock solid feedback, an ok digital camera and an irresistable boyish charm.
I've done well in the past, so let the cards fall where they may. There have been many views and a large number of people watching, so I'm not too worried about it, just a bit surprised. As was pointed out before, it looks more an more like there are several people waiting to bid at the last minute.
No scanner or webspace set up.

The price guide has not been updated for some time and still reflects a small increase in price from the announcement of the sale of the Valiant charactersBen(inabox) wrote:Did this go low, or is this just the new trend for most of VH1? It seems like alot of things on ebay are selling for a lot less than the guide on this site...

Ouch! Yeah. I sold my other copy, in vf, about a month ago for just over $100.00. I expected at least a little more for this copy. Oh well.....Ben(inabox) wrote:Did this go low, or is this just the new trend for most of VH1? It seems like alot of things on ebay are selling for a lot less than the guide on this site...

While I appreciate you sharing your wisdom, I am quite content with the sale, simply surprised. the llower than expected selling price can't be attributed simply to using the pics that I did just like you can't say with any certainty that it would have sold for significantly more with larger pics. The fact that the previous, lower quality copy sold for over $100.00 seems to be evidence that weighs more against your theory than for it. Same photos used actually.Daniel Jackson wrote:See, I told ya.... needed better pics.Fred Chamberlain wrote:Ouch! Yeah. I sold my other copy, in vf, about a month ago for just over $100.00. Yeah, I'd say it has more to do with demand dropping than the pics in this case.Fred Chamberlain wrote:While I appreciate you sharing your wisdom, I am quite content with the sale, simply surprised. the llower than expected selling price can't be attributed simply to using the pics that I did just like you can't say with any certainty that it would have sold for significantly more with larger pics. I disagree. Smart buyers, who only want a superior copy, are not going to risk that kind of money without more assurance of condition - like pictures. They don't want a VF/NM regardless of the cost if they are buying a NM. The book described at VF drew more attention because buyers are expecting a lower final price and will not be disappointed if it's a F/VF instead of a VF.
IMO.

As long as you're happy, that's the important thing.Fred Chamberlain wrote:While I appreciate you sharing your wisdom, I am quite content with the sale, simply surprised. the llower than expected selling price can't be attributed simply to using the pics that I did just like you can't say with any certainty that it would have sold for significantly more with larger pics.
