For the record, in nearly 50% of all cases, the first sign of cardiac problems is.......

drum roll please......

SUDDEN DEATH

Yup, the first sign there's a problem is that you're dead.

I'll be chock full of medical trivia in the coming year. Just wait! :D

Oh, and don't panic if you're making Number Two work for you and you get a little light headed. If you're straining, you've stimulated the vagus nerve which causes a drop in blood pressure and heart rate. It usually passes within a few minutes.

So if you're working it and get light headed, don't go toward the light, just wait......it'll pass. (pun intended)

:P

Actually, it doest take up as much space as you think. Sitting next to me as I type, I have about 65 longboxes worth of books. Keep in mind this is a 12' x 15' room, so I have to manage my space well. The trick is to stack and lace the boxes I go through the least and leave the ones I go through most often in a more accessable location in the room. For example; all of my common Valiants are near the bottom of a 5 box high, 6 box wide stack in far corner of the room, where as my Pre-Unity, variants, etc. are within arms length. You'll just have to prioritize what goes where based on how often you need to access specific boxes of material :thumb: .

David
David is right.

Figure around 250 per box. 60,000 books would amount to about 240 longboxes. Thats a LOT of books. You would need a good size bedroom or maybe a basement or a storage facility to store this kind of quantity. This is one reason why I'll be renting a LARGE dumpster at the end of this month in order to make room for 2 REALLY LARGE collections I intend to purchase near the end of the year. If everything pans out, it should total out to around 800 longboxes of material :o . Gotta keep your stock up ya know?! :D

Anyhow, good luck with securing those books. Keep us posted on what happens and what you come up with :thumb:

My fiance would be in heaven if I got down to 13 LB's  . But she knows these things take up space. Patience is a virtue she has an unlimited amount of, THANK GOD

I'm betting there's about 2000 X-Force #1's in there.

If you're in the mood to put together some runs of the different series, I'm game for that. I could use nice NM runs of the cheapo titles right about now. And a pile of Eternal #4s would be nice too.

Barbi: oh, me, me, ...is it a new procedure for impacted molars?

Sandi: No pick me, pick me, ....is it using lasers on a root canal?

Dentist: no, no, I need someone to look through those 150 long boxes and pull out all the VALIANT comic books.

(stuned silence)

(BTW, when I called him today, I told the recptionist I was asking aobut the comic books, I got right to the dentist..... )

Dude... I'd rather he pulled them out himself! Think about it - the assistants think this is a crappy job, start grabbing and flinging comics around.....

Let's hope there is at least one whole box full!!!

:o
