My NEW collection...

Post by Knightt »

So what do you think so far ?

<img src=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/ ... G_0327.jpg width=600></img>

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE !!!

I am trying to get a whole 'core' team together... Bucky and Spidey are just extras.

I have had Spidey for well over a year now and scored the others really, really cheap.

Ayup, you sure did... I just had to share. I am finally doing something that I have wanted to do for over a year now.

I could have gotten maybe two of the remaining Valiant books that I need to be at 100% OR what you are looking at here.

Valiant is a must, but it CAN wait.

Really, that is a sweet collection of busts you have there. :thumb:

[I mean 'busts' as in character statues. Do not interpret it in any other way... if there is any other way to interpret it.]

That is a helluva impressive start, man. Collecting Bowen Mini busts has been something I've wanted to do for years, but fought off. It's gonna be a combination of sickening and awesome if you wind up getting the Modern IM bust before me. For all my crazy Iron Man collection, I still haven't been willing to shell out the typically 250+ bucks for that one.

As long as you keep your hands off of mine, we'll be okay.

But do remember, dusting them off and trying to polish them is severely frowned upon... sometimes.

Especially at some *ahem* 'specialty' clubs. :P

California will sink into the ocean someday, but a really good bust will stay up for years. :thumb:

I may shy away from Modern IM for a while, those prices are INSANE. As it is, I have a handle on Thor which ranks in the high price range as well but we will see how that one 'irons' out. I know I can get a vintage Iron Man in the $50-$75 range and I am wanting to have the original Team out there first... Captain America goes for insane money sometimes but I got him AND Bucky for $96 and that right there send me on the road to ruin.

I may do Avengers on one side and villians on the other, not sure yet but at least I have more of a focus than in the past.

I swear to God and I'm not kidding, your collection isn't complete until you get the Kirby and Stan Lee Mini busts to go with your Avengers. Lee is proudly diplayed in my mini bust case next to War Machine, Black Widow and Silver Age Iron Man.

I guess getting dick-smacked by a Norse God would be humiliating. Getting dick-smacked is bad enough, but he'd prolly knock you out.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.
