Want to buy: absurdly rare Sam Kieth stuff

Hey everybody, new guy here going fishing. As I'm in the (practically perpetually) process of reorganizing/cataloging my collection, I'm not positive of all of the books I am looking for, but I might as well throw an early line out to see if anyone has some of these. As you can see, the great bulk of this is crap for anally retentive completionists. But my favorite section of this site the the Dead Universe sections, because those are my kind of guys.

Ashcans: Maxx 1-3, various colors, ESPECIALLY Black #2 and #3
Darker Image 1 if it comes in any color besides red
ashcan sized Wizard Maxx mini comic, gold (and supposedly) platinum variants only

Comics:
Tales of Terror #7 (Eclipse)
The Fish Police Vol.2 #7 (Comico)
Epicurus the Sage Volume 1 1st printing (Piranha Press/DC)
Maxx 1/2 signed edition
Maxx 1 3-D with glasses still attached
$pineless Man 2099 (Parody Press)
Working for the Man (Unbound Comics)
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs:Man Eater 1-3 variant foil editions, might only be one for #1
Batman Chronicles Gallery #1
My Book of Shapes (Eyesuck Ink)
Tabloia #573 (Saltpeter press)

Collections:
Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters: The Death of Bruce HC (Parody Press)
Wolverine: BLood Hungry (With Cyber's face on the moon in the cover)
Batman Featuring Two-Face and the Riddler
Maxx Image TPB #2

Cards:
Mr. Gone etched foil card
Redemption card to get a Mr. GOne etched foil card
The Simpsons (Skybox) Arty Art Card #2, Bart
Wildstorm CCG Maxx cards
MTV Animation Maxx cards

Other:
Zen Intergalactic Ninja phone card
Legs Statue
Venom bust
Spider-Man bust
Wolverine bust
Ghost Rider poster magazine
Incredible Hulk poster magazine
Maxx art portfolio sealed and/or unsealed
Star Wars Galaxy autographed slipcase edition
Graphitti Designs Maxx T-Shirts (3 different black short sleeved)
MTV Maxx T-Shirts (Long black sleeves, short white, short black)
Maxx posters (I believe 1 by MTV, 3 by Image, and a group shot by Image)
Maxx bookmark
Maxx VHS tape
Maxx bust
Maxx statue
Wolverine poster
Marvel T-shirt with Venom, Sabretooth, Deadpool

I must agree, and praise you thoroughly for making it what it is. I look forward to starting on a couple of those once I finish reorganizing and moving my collection and figure out if I'm going to have an unexpected move before the end of the year. Starting isn't exactly the right word, I got my Ultraverse 0 the right way, in the mail. But I'm no where near complete on anything, Valiant would be my closest. I'd be interested in researching Comico and Eclipse sometime if it has not been done yet.

Possibly, but postage would probably be expensive.

Ah. Didn't see the Australia tag. I was there once, I should have just picked it up. (Twelve years or so ago)

I didn't know there was a second ARBBH hardcover.

By the way, that's an impressive list of obscure stuff. I didn't know Kieth worked on all of that!

I've never personally seen one, but supposedly it exists. I have the trade (and an original art page). Yeah, he worked on tons, but a lot of it is just covers or pinups or whatever. I've got over a longbox just of crap he had some minor role in. Plus his real stuff of course.

I love the Valiants. But I also like a lot of the dead Universes. I would also like to see a Comico and Eclipse list. I know I have at least a short boxs of each. They had some good books.

That Comico list totals out at 443 give or take some HC's that may or may not exist and math errors. Not too terrible. Especially since I already have all of the Grendels, Mages, and 97ish% of the Elementals and the two tough Primers. That Eclipse list is nuts though.

Hey! I went up a rank or whatever you call it! I love stupid fun!

MagnusRF would you mind if I copyed your list and put it in the Dead Universe thread. Maybe I can get Knightt to put a stickey on it.
It looks like a good list I have a few of them. I like these and thought they were good reads.

Elementals
Justice Machine
Star Blazers I liked these from the cartoons that came on in the late 70 s

Do as you will. :thumb:

I compiled it from ComicBase, that's why there's questions about a few. Some I think I remember (I'm sure I had a Night and the Enemy Hardcover once, and I know there are a set of Mage slipcased hardcovers), some I've never heard of.

uhhhhh you think you can do a list for Innovation and send it to me ? I will post that as well.... I have been wanting to try a Comico and Innovation list for a while now but that is A LOT of work and I do not know nearly as much about Comico and Innovation as I would like to.

There are three Mage slipcased hardcovers, but they might be Graphitti, rather than Comico so might not show up that way. Anyone have any experience with Comicbase and OSX?

I wondered if that was what they meant by "Magebook"? Or is that something else entirely?

Macintosh operating system. They had it running on an Intel Mac at San Diego CC, but the Intels can run Windows without an emulator.

And I am fairly certain that the Magebooks are something different, but I do not have them.

Maxx is weird in the fact that you either really love the book or really um.. don't care. I would love to have the Glow in the Dark cover or some other goofy limited print stuff but the Maxx fans are diehard and will out bid me in a nano-second. I care but it's more like a $10 or less type of caring. :P

Good luck on your quest JohnnyRnR. I'm sure you'll get them all eventually without too many problems. :thumb:

I can get you a copy of the MTV series on DVD if you want, but I don't have a VCR to put it on VHS... let me know...

(I also have a few Comico books I'd let go for really cheap if you think you feel like starting that)

It's true, and while I loved the Maxx when it was new, now I really just like the art and a few issues, but I decided a long time ago that I wanted an anally retentive Sam Kieth collection, and so I will have one! (I have too many stupid, mostly worthless, space consuming collections.) The Glow has dropped a lot since the 90's crash, though the ashcans still get fair amounts of dollars (less of them printed by far). I may even have an extra glow if you are interested. (In addition to most of a duplicate basic Maxx run). I recently bought a full longbox of Sam Kieth stuff for about 25 books, so if anyone has Kieth needs not listed above, it might not hurt to ask. Might. And thanks for the luck, but I've been looking for a good chunk of this for over five years now, and the stuff I've been looking for less time, I didn't know about as soon as others. Granted some of it is easier than others and I'm holding out for cheaper ones or nicer conditions (although I'm not much of a NM *SQUEE*, usually okay with VF's on books like this). My super stupid collecting quirk is: on books with a direct market AND a newstand edition, I MUST get the version with the Spider-Man head picture or whatever in the UPC box. It makes filling holes in Marvel/DC runs quite tedious sometimes. That was a much longer post than I had planned on.

And I think I have the tape as well.

Please PM me if you are still interested in getting these :thumb:
