It'll be in November a week or so before Thanksgiving. Rooms are expensive in NYC in the fall, that will be the biggest factor holding people back. Lori and I went this year and had a great time in the city, although I only spent a few hours at the show with John (svair), Bill (Woog) and met Brian (chainball) for the first time.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Wait, when is this now?
While I was at the show she spent around $1k on 5th Avenue Christmas shopping in like three hours, so I had to get out of the show and take control of the situation. On Saturday night we took in a Broadway show and watched all the idiots waiting in line in Times Square for a Wii at the ToysRUs there.
I am selling "nothing" on ebay-yet.

I am seriously considering skipping the con at the Javitz next month in favor of San Diego in July, although it is really hard to get away from work that time of year. Also, it would be a pretty expensive trip across the country and I would have to start planning now pretty much. We'll see.Knightt wrote:You guys have fun... having a new job will leave me with hardly any time saved up. It'll be my first time on a plane too. I'm sure the wife will be making fun of me the whole time.

Definitely the week I most look forward to this year!

It looks like Hotel Penn still has rooms. That place would be perfect since the Cons right there.Technique wrote:Technique wrote:Is anyone looking for a roommate?
I'd like to go but there is no way I can shoulder the cost of a hotel room by myself.

If I fiddle with 2-4 adults over the same four nights that Zero mentions then the charge is $250-$300 per night. Split four ways that becomes affordable.
