What Valiant book would you not want to return?
Valiant is relaunching. There is a ton of specualtion here as to what is going to happen and what isn't. If there was one book that they did in VH1 you could care less about returning, which book is it and why?

The Visitor.
The entire concept sucked, from beginning to end. It was the complete antithesis of EVERYTHING VALIANT stood for (sorry Kevin...).
Turning Peter Stanchek into Cable (or as it were, Ultimate Cable who is the Wolverine from the future) reeked, pure and simple.
Add Marts' description of the Visitor as the VALIANT Universe's version of Superman and it only gets worse.
Two other titles I don't want to see are the Geomancer and Secret Weapons.
Geoff should be the only Geomancer until his niece takes over for him. There's no room in the VALIANT timeline for Clay McHenry.
As for Secret Weapons, I don't see any room in the VU for a "JLA"-type group.

Psi-Lords is the title I liked the least in the Valiant Universe.
I like the H.A.R.D. Corps of the future idea, but not the way the stories were executed. They made them seem like a group that was out to take over the world and I do not think that would be the case.

I agree that a Geomancer series can be done right. The original version of Secret Weapons was more of a Geomancer book that proved that Geoff can carry his own series.Ryan wrote:I agree with those MOTA, except I think Geomancer could be really cool if done right (no Clay Mchenry of coarse).
I would also add Psi-Lords, H.A.R.D. Corps, and Armorines.
I wouldn't mind seeing a Geoff comic with Livewre and Stronghold. They were the only aspect of Secret Weapons that I liked. It was having the other heroes in it that I didn't care for.

Yeah - all those groups should only be used in supporting roles in ongoing titles at best. At least that would be my suggestion.Ryan wrote:I agree with those MOTA, except I think Geomancer could be really cool if done right (no Clay Mchenry of coarse).

I really liked HARD Corps and Armorines, they were my favorite post Shooter series. I liked the concept of Softcore in HC and the ... what were they called? The people who were in contact with the Armorines... in Armorines.k_c_collectibles wrote:Yeah - all those groups should only be used in supporting roles in ongoing titles at best. Maybe I'm just not into team books. I liked Armorines more than HARD Corps, but it just seemed like too many armored heroes in the VU. I'm with KC, they would work better as supporting characters or an occasional limited series.ManofTheAtom wrote:

Well, the Armorines' appearance in Solar sucked, same with their Acclaim mini.Ryan wrote:Maybe I'm just not into team books. I have all four issues (mail order rules).Ryan wrote:I only have 1 issue of the acclaim mini, none of the shops around me ordered any after 1.ManofTheAtom wrote: Well, the Armorines appearance in Solar sucked, same with their Acclaim mini.
The basis premise was sound, it was the execution that was blah. There were certain things, like the four bad guys meeting to plan... whatever they were planing, and Aric and Elvis being dead in the Spider-Alien ship that were idiotic.
How can Aric have died on the ship and also traveled back in time to 409 AD with the X-O?

Yeah. I for one dislike the third Anni-Padda brother angle. I'd fix that one.Ryan wrote:It has a lot of potential, i just think EW and A&A should come first.ManofTheAtom wrote: Not to give Zero's claim in the other thread credibility, but personally that's a series I'd like to write for new VALIANT, heh.
