I thought this was a good deal:

Heck, I'd pay that for 6 shocase sealers.

With the sealers it's a pretty good deal. I would take them out and use them on something better than Deathmate that's for sure......whovianone wrote:I thought this was a good deal:

You betcha!

But, I did still need two of those golds, so it worked out nicely. AND, I can use the others for a bonfire, or trade with someone.

Oh, and I picked up a complete set of Unity issues for under a buck! About $0.36 an issue after shipping...

I went to a LCS yesterday, and found all the pre-unity Harbingers. #1 was $10, #2-3 were $5 each (there were 2 copies of #2), #4 was $7, and #5-6 were $6 each. Unfortunately, #1 had the coupon missing, so I didn't pick that up, and I passed on #5-6 since I already own those. So, I grabbed both #2s, 3 & 4. When I checked out, the guy there ended up ringing up all 4 books at $5 each, and then on top of that gave me a 15% discount! I may go back and pick up #5-6 to sell with the extra #2 I bought. They also had Solar #1-2 (which I already own) at $5 each that I may pick up as well.
Question: Does anyone think the couponless Harbinger #1 is worth picking up for $10? Also, they had a copy of X-O #1 for $7, but the lower right corner is slightly bent...any suggestions on what to try and get the price knocked down to?

Yeah, those are good prices. I'd pay that price for a gold book any day. The last few I bought were like $10-$13.mobstirr wrote:I hope these were good prices for VALIANT GOLDS...

For me, $5 is the highest I'd go without a coupon if it was otherwise a really nice copy. Others might go higher than that, but I don't really know why.DevilBro wrote:Question: Does anyone think the couponless Harbinger #1 is worth picking up for $10?
$3. It's a pretty easy book to get in nice shape. Don't overpay for a banged up one.DevilBro wrote:Also, they had a copy of X-O #1 for $7, but the lower right corner is slightly bent...any suggestions on what to try and get the price knocked down to?
