Based on the demand for Valiants on the CGC message boards, it looks like there are a decent number of new collectors picking up Valiants right now. My guess is that the Harbinger HC will also drive the speculators back into the market that drove prices up in 2003 and 2004. Good for sellers, bad for collectors.

Didn't the last sale go for around $800?
That's what I heard. Any idea how long ago that was?
This kind of makes watching CGC prices on Valiants even more interesting. What other books are out there that haven't listed in awhile that would go for 300.00+ like the Shadowman 2 and Magnus 13? :hm:
Actually the last three Harbinger 1 9.8s have all sold for $1000 or more. The last public sale was on ComicLink and it topped $1000. I am aware of a private sale since then for $1000 and I was involved in a sale/trade of my extra 9.8 for $1000.

The Magnus 13 has a low number of 9.8 copies in the census. I didn't realize Shadowman 2 was so tough. I'll need to check my remaining copies to see if I have another raw copy to submit. Harbinger 6 would sell for over $400 easy and I recently sold a couple other pre-Unity Harbingers for $300+. Solar 4 & 5 have recent sales over $300. Solar 10 is a $700+ book.

I also noticed a Magnus 13 in CGC 9.8 that went for 349.00 a couple weeks ago.
:o
I bought that Mags 13...

Wow! Maybe I should dole out the cash for some of my doubles of the pre-Unity stuff and see what I have. I could easily pay for my text books with this kind of cash

P.S-Why does this frenzy on The Bay remind me of P.T. Barnum?

Does anyone remember a sale of the Acclaim Valiant Heroes Special Preview in CGC 9.8? There's one live on eBay. Any predictions on what it'll go for? :hm:

I wonder if the acclaims will ever get as much interest as the regular valiants. The ones I could see getting high prices ccg'd are the shadowman glow, armorlines# 4 and unity# 3.

Those three you mentioned would go for mega bucks in CGC 9.8, no doubt!
