I am trying this one more time to see if anyone else can get what I am saying. How do you get some one that is only interested in collecting valiant comics to help you to start collecting?
RQB is more interested in what I am posting then trying to help me get started collecting comics!
Can anyone offer a suggestion?

1. Closest comic shop is an hour or more away.Brother J wrote:c'mon RBQ, help the lady out. Take her to a comic shop and show her what they've got. Take her to a comic show and let her smell the manly funk of the fanboys.
2. I don't drive.
3. She won't drive to one anyways.
4. Next decent comic show is April. Again, about an hour or more away.
I told her to get a list together of what she wanted and I would help. This was a month ago or more. I still don't have a list.

That kind of sucks, I would have thought that Leavenworth is a pretty good sized town, odd there is no comics shops close.Rubiks-Q-Bert wrote:1. There is one in December. I can't remember off the top of my head when or where. But that's irrelevant anyways. Got to much other stuff to deal with then. We had one shop for years and then he changed his priorities and closed down. We had another one for 6 months or so last year and then they closed. The closest ones are out in KC. There might be other small shows but I don't know about them. The show in April is our big one. Planet Comicon. I missed it the last few years due to various reasons. I don't know if I will make it this year or not either due to the fact that I am saving money for San Diego and New York next year.Brother J wrote:That kind of sucks, I would have thought that Leavenworth is a pretty good sized town, odd there is no comics shops close.Rubiks-Q-Bert wrote:1. My best advice: Decide if on what you will enjoy more -- collecting a series or reading it.krazie14me wrote:Rubiks-Q-Bert wrote:There is one in December. Re: 1 vs 100
Sounds like there isn't a comci shop near you guys, so I would recommend shopping on the net, like Ebay. You'll find some great bargains there and just try some of the comics that we listed in that other thread.krazie14me wrote:I am trying this one more time to see if anyone else can get what I am saying. Pick up Bone vol.1 on Ebay and see if you like it. If you do, buy the rest of them

Simply do not.
There is an LCS, though. One.

Just the opposite for me. We have comic shows (albeit cheesy ones), but no LCSChiclo wrote:We don't have local comic shows.Brother J wrote:That kind of sucks, I would have thought that Leavenworth is a pretty good sized town, odd there is no comics shops close.Rubiks-Q-Bert wrote:1.
