I thought it was awesome. This is some of the best super hero comic stuff I have seen in years. It had a good, real ending that was satisfying, but it opened the doors up for even more awesomeness in the future. Man, this stuff was really really good.
Highly recommended to any/everyone.

Just read the last issue and it is quite easily some of the coolest stuff I have read for a long time. While everything else is chucking out crossovers and tie ins left right and centre, this series has kept that sort of thing to a minimum - 4 specials and a tie in (The upcoming stuff with Blue Beetle as a result of the Sinestro Corps. War and the revelations surrounding the scarabs and the reach look set to be great) - some awesome writing and art - just wow. The double page spreads of the action going on are so cool.
After reading it it is clear they have some big ideas of how the GLs are going to have to deal with the repercussions of both their actions and the kill enable command in the Book of Oa. Coming 2009 apparently but we'll see.
Now where did I put that epilogue issue?

Yeah, but we know that Yellow and violet are enemies, Red and orange probably will be too, that leaves blue and indigo as "good" corps to tell stories about.
I hope they are kept on the periphery though. I don't want another X-Fiasco with half a dozen books every month.
So here's an interesting idea I heard someone mention - what if Kyle leaves the Green Lantern Corps for the Blue Lantern Corps? It's not that crazy of an idea..

Well, about batman retiring:
rumor is that bruce wayne is gonna kick the bucket in the next year.
spoiler
From what rumor I heard. Grant Morrison wanted to kill off the trinity and replace them with the modern counterparts (wonder girl, robin or nightwing and superboy) The trinity would then become the new gods. This idea was rejected by DC. The current rumor is that only batman will be the one who will now die and he will become a New God. These new gods will be replacing the current Jack Kirby fourth world new gods currently being killed off in the mini series. Batman would become the first of the fifth world new gods with other heroes joining as the die. I personally don't believe for one second that DC has the balls (Kyle Rayner=GL, Hal Jordan=specter etc....)to do this. But they did kill off e-2 batman years ago and they have been redoing a lot of silver/bronze age stories lately.
