Noobs Unite!
Just imagine how the boards could change if all the noobs rallied.
I imagine there are several more noobs then non-noobs.
I guess it is a good thing for all the more established posters out there that most of the noobs are sadly apathetic.
The catch 22 of noobiness could be overthrown by a revolution but apathy reigns these days.
It's kinda like "Animal Farm."
All Valiant are equal, but some Valiant fans are more equal then others.
Oh, the humanity!!!

A "newb" is not necessarily a "noob" but a "noob" can be a "newb".
If you don't know what the definition of a word is don't use it.
For clarification:
A "newb" is someone who is new to something. For example I'm still considered a "newb" on this forum.
A "noob" is someone who is not new to something but still acts like they are new to it. So a someone who has been around for about 6 months and/or has about 1000+ forum posts and still acts like a "newb" is actually a "noob".
Sometimes I think there should be a test before people can join a forum to make sure they understand both of these terms (and a few others, such as troll).

I did see your post and reply to it, the shortened reply is probably not. It would be an experience for sure, but it just doesn't appeal to me in a cost vs. reward scenario.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Hey, that reminds me....are you planning on going to any of the events in Vancouver in 2010...?MProyas wrote:you may have jumped into this site with the lowest initial appeal rating of all time.RSecor wrote:LINE OMMITED FOR FAIRNESSsuperman-prime wrote:everyone was a n00b at 1 time.

I'm the type who would rather watch sports (ok, just Hockey) on TV rather than live because I miss the play by play commentary.

How do I know Canada's gonna be in the final...?
Come on.
Seriously.

I'm hoping it's a rematch of the Salt Lake final in '02. Man, that would be amazing.
I'm a big Olympic nut, though; I follow the stuff off year, too.

In hockey it would be a huge upset if Canada wasn't. The other events, we are pretty mediocre at. Our Olympic program is a joke, but I hear they are improving.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:I cannot WAIT....cannot WAIT...to see Canada in the Gold Medal final match, live.MProyas wrote:I did see your post and reply to it, the shortened reply is probably not. I'm a big Olympic nut, though; I follow the stuff off year, too.Bode Miller just won his 28th World event this weekend in Zurich. A new record.
in the other thread I mentioned the drive from Vancouver to Whistler where the skiing events are going to be held. I've driven the road quite a bit recently as my mother lives up near there. I cannot see how it is going to be ready for the volume of traffic.
it'll be maximum 4 lanes and that is not going to be the entire drive. no way am I driving on it during the Olympics.

It would be a huge upset if they weren't NOW. But remember, until 2002, Canada hadn't won the gold in hockey (mens) since 1952!MProyas wrote:In hockey it would be a huge upset if Canada wasn't.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:I cannot WAIT....cannot WAIT...to see Canada in the Gold Medal final match, live.MProyas wrote:I did see your post and reply to it, the shortened reply is probably not. They'll work it out. The road to Park City in Utah from SLC is about as bad, and they managed. The other events, we are pretty mediocre at. Our Olympic program is a joke, but I hear they are improving.

Canada's no rookie when it comes to hosting the Olympics.
