The BEST Green Lantern of all time!!
Can anyone here tell me who they feel is the BEST Green Lantern of all time? As well as to explain why?
I'll start off!
In my OPINION! It would be Kyle Rayner! He is a newer, modern, and hip Green Lantern character. He is also an off beat serious character! Has his own adventures with hardly having core characters on his title or involvement.
I'll start off!

Hal Jordan. Hands down...but that's not what makes Green Lantern great. What makes Green Lantern great is the fact that there are so many strong characters that can all exist at the same time.
If you're reading the current GL Rebirth, that is what's great about the GL legacy. In that one book, Hal Jordan is finally being "corrected" from the gimmicky 90s crap that turned him into a villian, BUT at the same time Kyle isn't be deminished...in fact, he's the only GL that hasn't been "corrupted" at this point.
In GL Rebirth, Kyle is still a hero, Hal will be redeemed, and Guy Gardner, John Stewart, and Kilwog are given the respect they deserve as well.
When it's all over, Hal will be back, the Corp will be back, and Kyle (hopefully) will still be a GL.
I would love to see more than one GL books. One starring Hal on Earth, and another starring Kyle in space.

I like the Gl Hal Jordan run (not Emerald Twilight). However, if the Green Lanterns he killed in Emerald twilight are not brought back from the dead............isn't Hal still a murderer?
Haven't read Rebirth yet and won't pay the inflated prices. Reminds me of GL #46 with Superman for $12-----never paid this and bought a second print for 75 cents then (good enought for me)

Well, I have a lot to say about this...
Hal is a very good, complex, and interesting character, and one of the better Green Lanterns.
Kyle is, perhaps, the most complex and interesting GL to me. Sadly, most writers do NOT treat Kyle fairly outside of his own book (don't get me started).
It is nice to see, in Rebirth, that Kyle is being shown as perhaps the strongest GL because he has resisted the corruption, and is fighting the hardest out of all of them.
I also liked Kilowog, Katma Tui, and Guy Gardner.
HATE John Stewart. In my opinion, he's never really been a well-executed character - it's like he gets re-defined by someone every six months, and each redefinition just makes him that much more of a worthless scum.
But the best... the best Green lantern of all time? The one that makes me quiver in anticipation when I see them advertised for an issue? The one that I have gone out of my way to own EVERY appearance of?
G'NORT!

I've become a Kyle fan. Struggling late 20's guy trying to make it out in the world of super stars but can never get his life completely together. I like that version more then some hot shot pilot who has no fear and always kicks *SQUEE* at the end of the day with over confidence.
On a side note, I've really like the Green Lantern Rebirth run so far. Some damn good story-telling working with what came before. I cringe to think that in the future (probably every couple of years) you'll see the "parallex effect" or "coming again for the fith time this year, parallex" and more then likely "guess who's back? Parellex" where he gets dumbed down to the point were even the newest Green Lantern member can defeat him on his first day of training. You know it will happen!
