Sean Chen sculpted and painted Solar Statue

Post by siren3-4 »

A few months ago I bid on and won (for an obscene amount of money) an auction for a Sean Chen sculpted Solar Statue. (I'd do it again too)

Image(svair picture)

I already owned one, but the lure of an exclusive penguin as a bonus in the auction was too much for me to ignore . . . I emptied my paypal account and won my precious . . . It was worth every penny . . .

This second Solar statue was promised to a fellow board member that I made a deal with before I bid . . . but things came up (as they sometimes do) and unfortunately, he was unable to buy the statue at this point . . .

So that leads us to the reason for this thread . . . I will be auctioning off this statue in the upcoming week (maybe the week after) . . . There are only about 30 of these that exist and I really don’t see anyone ever selling theirs so, this may be your only chance to get your grubby little hands on one. . . :)

I am going to start the auction at the original price that these statues cost . . . This is considerably less than the deal I had going with the board member, but if that person wants to bid at this price please do so, I wont hold you to the other amount if you win . .

This will be a board only auction in the Registered Members section as I refuse to let an outsider own one of these . . . This masterpiece is the Grail in many of our collections . . . It is a full size statue and is about the same scale as Bowen FS statues (1:6 scale)

I wanted to give fair warning about this auction so everybody has a chance to get in on it . . . and maybe I can recoup some of the costs back into my bank account . . .

You will not be disappointed in this statue . . . it is even nicer in person . . . :cloud9:

I have my statue in a place where I can see it every time I use my computer, like now. It is truly cool, and I still have trouble wrapping my head around the fact that only 30 or so people will ever have one, and I'm one of them.

Money well spent!

Whoever gets this will not be sorry. I've got one and I consider it to be one of the best sculptures made. The detail is outstanding on these.

I thought I had missed out but barely made the cut line ... one of the coolest things I own.

I was actually eyeing the shirt, so will it be included with the statue?

:hm:

I'll have to find out who took the picture . . . then who that is in the photo . . . hire a hitman to kill them and remove their ear and shirt . . but only if they are wearing that shirt . . . and then pack it in with the statue . .

OK . . no problem . . . :thumb:

There is no need to kill them, just take what you want anyway. It is what Aric would have done.

Agreed, and agreed!

I'm still thinking of how I can make my own "glowing base" for mine...
