:(

This is what i was afraid of. If these kinds of things are going on, then it really isn't over.

For now, the only thing I can think of doing personally is to monitor Newsarama's VEI coverage. If some events pass by with little or no coverage, then I'll do what I can to get other places to point that out.

On a side note, if Newsarama really does suffer from some kind of underhanded bias, then I'm glad Joe Q chose to move his Joe Friday bit over to myspace.

I think that this is not too far from what happened back in the early 90's with Wizard.

Wizard was ALL OVER Valiant when it came out and their price guide was THE price guide. The prices dictated the prices for Valiant books and pretty much chose them to be successful (as many took stock in what Wizard had to say back then). I feel that Wizard had a rather big part in Valiant's success because they backed them heavily.

I think it is crazy how Newsarama has that much pull these days but hey, I think it's part of the game. If this is the case, a little butt kissin' might be in order. Just like back in the old days... if Wizard was not printing how great you were, well.......................... :?

Wizard has done a little "buzzing" about VEI, but not enough to really stoke the fires. I think once more information is known, possibly closer to the release of the XO HC, either right before or after, we will likely see and know more. Until then, yes it is not fun but not much can be done for it. Newsarama BOTHERS me, big time. They seem to be more agenda driven then a pack of DC lobbyists. BTW, Knightt, the new avtar is nice.

I was thinking along the same lines a few minutes ago but just didnt know how to put it into type. I agree, the little buzz with Wizard was just enough to stoke the fires. If Wizard gets on the bus when individual comics are put to print, it could be a great help... plus free advertising, eh ?

The release of the XO HC might be a benchmark for VEI... well, I think I feel something coming so I look forward to it (Bloodshot would be even better !!!!!) And thanks for the compliment on the avatar. I have another in the works !!! 8-)

What? :o screw that xodacia, give them none of your business anymore. I hope the XO hardcover is the breakthrough that we all are hoping for but,I still think we need the Valiant Big 3 to generate some buzz because if VEI magages to get them some real excitement will start in the industry.
"Why so serious?"-Joker TDK.

Oh, I pretty much have sworn them off. The only thing I will do is go there to get highly discounted tix for an upcoming convention, as they do it through the convention so that they can have a space. They make no profit on this, you see. But, by doing it, they get a large discount on the space they pay for. Or something like that. I miss the old owner. I used to like this guy, until he started giving me *SQUEE* over VALIANT. As for THE BIG 3, I wouldn't hold my breath, though of course, the delay in books could be due to some sort of deal being worked out in regards to this. Isn't speculation FUN?
