Christ... if anyone knows me by now, you know that I would be more direct and ask it straight out. I dont hedge. I am wondering what is going to be offered at this Con in case I can make it out there during that timeframe.jedimarley wrote:Are you accusing svair of making money of the projects that he does?
$hit, I'll just shut my mouth and keep my comments to myself from now on. Can't believe I get $hit like this coming from you and from what "I" have been through.

svair is like a brother to me and I razz him like this quite a bit...
bingo... someone who actually 'read' the post instead of flying off the handle. I guess it was too deep.Brother J wrote:I bet it does seem like another job (and a thankless one, at that) when svair has to deal with loudmouth comic show promoters like Carbonaro. Thanks for all that you do, bro!![]()
Here's hoping I can make the next NYC show...

Just asking a question...That's all. By implying "Job" I took it as he is profiting of the work he does.Knightt wrote:Must be nice having a second job.

Oh gee F. I really took that the wrong way. Golly, I sure do apologize. I guess I didn't realize it was an actual innocent question. My bad. ----------jedimarley wrote:Knightt wrote:Christ... if anyone knows me by now, you know that I would be more direct and ask it straight out. I dont hedge. I guess I totally took that out of proportion. Apparently this was a totally honest question without lazing me with an accusing eye and that you meant nothing by it. Gosh, and I thought you were trying to make me look like the bad guy here when you were 'just asking a question'. (bonks myself on the head' "What were you thinking, Knightt." Boy do I feel silly now).jedimarley wrote:Are you accusing svair of making money of the projects that he does?
Hey sorry buddy, didn't meant to try and call you out on that question or anything. The answer to you question is, "No sir, not even close... just giving John a hard time. AND actually giving kudos to a degree because all of this work that he does for the Cons seems like a second job due to all the time he must spend on them."
I hope that clears the air and we can ALL have a very Merry Christmas !!!

Seeing as how I am currently working as an Independent Freelance Contractor (i.e. out of work contractor but it sounds GREAT when you are interviewing with a new company AND have a business card stating as such), I do not believe that the funds for an out of town fact finding trip has been calculated into the contract/budget unless I can obtain exterior funding from Corporate (i.e. CinC House - Commander in Chief House - call sign 'Lingerie 6').ckb wrote:You sure?? I'd be happy to tell you I'm paying for half but actually let you pay for the whole thing.Knightt wrote:Nope
Really, it's no trouble...

I have a free plane ticket, but no funds to go in on a room or have any spending money (i.e. books and food... notice the order)
