I just got my March shipment and I got it in the previous shipment, so it must have come out in February. The indicia inside lists the official title as "Beauty: An Astro City Character Special." It's kind of like the Samaritan Special they did a while back. Just one issue focusing on one character. And it was really really good.Elveen wrote:Is this a new comic? What do you mean by a bound set???tarheelmarine wrote:Lately, I have been reading DC's Infinite Crisis from 2005. I have been picking up all the tie-ins on the cheap (from miniseries, to crossovers in the regular titles). When you put it all together it is a highly entertaining crossover. I don't necessarily agree with everything that has occured, but it has made for good reading. I plan on putting all of it together in a bound set.
One of the only full runs I've read in years is 52 the whole thing after Infinite Crisis and regardless of what anyone says I love that *SQUEE*! It's great to see unused characters getting their

52 was excellent. Very well done, a good read. Countdown has been lackluster.ian_house wrote:What do you mean by a bound set???tarheelmarine wrote:Lately, I have been reading DC's Infinite Crisis from 2005. I think by bound he means a service that binds comics together as a hardcover. google "library binding".

I agree, only read the first few issues of Countdown but lost interest really quickly. Whats the next weekly one coming out after Countdown? A mate was banging on about it the other day, it does sound a little more interesting.Dr. Solar wrote:52 was excellent. Very well done, a good read. The next DC weekly after Countdown is Trinity.ian_house wrote:Maybe I was thinking of something else then, pretty sure that wasn't what he was on about.superman-prime wrote:I think its called trinity (batman superman and WW) but i could be wrong
it will be by Busiek (I think) and Bagley. It's gonna focus on the dynamic and the relationship between Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

So I have started something VERY new to me.
I started reading Green Lantern Rebirth. (Big ups to my man Lightning)
I am enjoying it..... I really have no back story on the characters (execpt for stuff I learned from watching the cartoon as a kid).
I really like how a bunch of the other DC characters are in the story.
The art is good and the story is interesting. I wish I knew the back story on all the different Green Lanterns and the Paralax back story, but I am enjoying it.
