I've had this long running joke with a friend of mine that whenever you have more than one of something, it becomes a collection. I was reminded of this while going through my storage area for -stuff- and stumbled upon some older video game related action figures.

Of course, stream of consciousness set in and I started thinking about all of the video game stuff that I've got stashed away here and there (Playstations that I never got rid of, games, old promo stuff from this game store I worked at ten years ago, etc). The stuff adds up over time, especially if you are someone who doesn't toss anything out. I've even got an old Playstation promotional clock and a promotional PSX binder with one sheets that our old video game store was going to toss out, so I was told I could have it.

Do you guys know of any communities dedicated for game enthusiasts and collectors? I'm talking a place for video game archivists, not a place like Gamefaqs.com. Is anyone here into this?

There is a store owned by this rich guy that buys rare games.

I'm curious about this as well, but don't have any good information. Gamespot has collection tracking on their website.

I used to be all about playing and collecting rarer games, pretty much to play. I'm not aware of any website though that is focused on collecting though.
