ebay question to all

Post by blazeknight »

hey guys, as I assume most of us here buy and sell on ebay, here is a question.....bidder buys comic on ebay from seller and has it sent via post. Book never shows up. Neither seller nor buyer has it, what happens? what do you do if you are the buyer? the seller?

Thats a tricky situation. As far as I know theres not much you can do. If its not a lot of money your probably looking at writing it off. Are you sure the seller is telling the truth?

yea, Im sure he's telling the truth...I guess you can never really be sure, but likewise how can he be sure that I dont have the book? its about a $10.00 item only, but curious as to others responses...what have you done in similar situations?

If the package wasn't insured, I guess you lucked out.

There's not much you can do about it and since you believe that the seller is telling the truth, I suppose it would be best to forget about the whole thing.

And since we're talking about lost packages.. ckb, where is my Solar Hardcover? :x :x :x

Just kidding, man  I'm still waiting for packages which were shipped weeks before yours, but I'm usually very cool and patient about such things (international shipping is a b!tch)

thats why i ALWAYS insure. plus its a good way not to get ripped of. ive felt sketchy buy books from some sellers. so i make sure they insure it. cuase if you dont they can always just keep the book and so say" hey i shiped it you never got it? it must be lost. you should have insured it." not your fault but you cant blame thre seller. insurance is your proff that he sent the book. it never shows... file a claim. if he doesnt have the reciet then he might not have shipped/insured it so he should be responsible.

Always check if sent USPS to see if it is stamped insured if you paid for it as well. If under 50 they can leave it w/o a signature at your door. If over 50 they have to have you sign for it.

I have paid for insurance and had sellers ship the items w/o actually insuring it. A nice way for them to pocket an extra 1.30 or so.
