Finally! (left my first neg)
So, I keep hearing horror stories on here about ebay. I have never really had any. I've never had any problems. Until today.
I bid and won this auction:
Green Lantern 39
Yeah, it was a 0 feedback seller, but I figured everyone has to start somewhere, and it was cheap enough to take a chance.
I won. When I got the comic, it was in a 9x12 envelope with bag and board. Rolled up and crunched into my little mail box in my apartment building. No cardboard to keep it rigid, nothing. On top of that, the seller shipped it first class mail, which cost $1. He charged me $5.
I sent this message:
So now, a question. How do I block other ebay members? I looked around the ebay site, and couldn't find it.
Anyone know where it is?

And got this response:Hey there, I received the comic I won from you today. There was a bit of a problem though with the packaging. Because of the way it was packaged, the comic was bent and possible creased. Since I do not know the condition of the comic before you sent it, I don't know how much of the damage was from the shipping method, but the shipping was not secure enough to prevent damage. Let me know what you would like to do about this. Thanks. ~Sean
I left him a prompt neg. Now he has -1, 0% feedback. First time I ever left a neg for somebody.you paid 99 cents for the comic so what do you expect.

I paid from my Paypal balance, not CC. $6 isn't really worth it.
It's weird, because the comic was in about VG to VG- condition. There might not have been any extra damage to the book, but I really don't know because the packaging was so poor.
The crazy thing is that the dude could have avoided a neg if he had just said, "sorry, here's $3 back", or PUT A PIECE OF CARDBOARD in the envelope.

Then open a paypal dispute. They'll grant you the money. You should do it on principle.Dr. Solar wrote:I paid from my Paypal balance, not CC. $6 isn't really worth it.

Paypal requires you to send the item back for any type of refund. IF you don't they close the claim without notice. They really suck on resolving disputes since merged with ebay.Dr. Solar wrote:I paid from my Paypal balance, not CC. $6 isn't really worth it.

I think its best to just get on with your life dude and not give it any more of your time.
Sometimes its just not worth the brain power.
