i was playing everday for four years pretty much but then i just got so busy i had to stop.
Sometimes i would play for $30 and get it all up to $1,000 in day, but then i would play high stakes and lose it all the next day
i won a few big tourneys including a 2000 player.
i was 5 places away from getting into the poker million recently on a freeroll.
I played a lot of freerools and came in the top 5% on a regular basis.
i did have some good times but i never knew when to stop.
So instead of cashing my winnings in i played and played and eventually ended up losing it again.
When i have some more time on my hands i will play again and stick to playing the $80,000 game each sunday evening.
It cost $130 to enter and takes up a good 5 hours+ of your time but if you get into the top 100 you get $400 minimum.
Gotta be able to crack that.
For now though its comics comics comics & more comics, but not till after family.

Re: Poker on the internet.
Yeah, I'm on pokerstars and full tilt poker. Pokerstars is good for free tournaments that you can win money or get qualified for a tournament that you can win money. I usually finish in the top 5 or 10% if I get some decent cards at the beginning. I think my best finish was like 50 or 60 out of 12,000, turns out that I was like 10 away from the money, lol and that was after like 4 or 5 hrs. of play.Elveen wrote:SO.... anyone play poker on the internet?

I'll do Poker Stars on occasion.
Placed 140th in a 12,000 person tourney-- and can usually finish in the top 5-10%.
I'll usually play the 45 person tourneys while I edit video.
It keeps me on my game when I go to the casino to play $1-2 no limit.
I'm just a better cash game player. My mind thinks differently than a tourney game.

You know, that's a great point, I recently play more cash games, (but their live) and I like it better, tourney's can be very long, especially if you have A.D.D.oldjello wrote:I'll do Poker Stars on occasion.

I play at Full Tilt Poker, Hold 'em no limit tourneys only, never cash games. I usually am good for two or three tourneys a week, usually on the weekends , with anywhere from 500 to 2000 participants each.
Last month I finished fifth out of 1800 and won $800. I even managed to withdraw it and I'm actually up for the year because of that nice finish!
Slym, you should go to full tilt, it's no problem at all uploading cash to play there.
