CGC 9.8 Simpsons Comics And Stories #1
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0070646640

First comic book appearance of the Simpsons (before the Bongo line was created).

There are only 5 at this grade, but 22 copies at CGC 9.0 or below... with 6 in CGC 7.0.

I'd say it's safe to say that some moderns aren't very easy to find in NM. :thumb:

I have two newsstand copies of that book that are completely unread. I bought them both new. I have never even thought of slabbing them, but I am definitely checking them out tonight... :thumb:

9.4...at the very best...oh, well.

Solar #1 through 4, all in nice shape for $2 each. It's slightly offset by the $2 I spent on his Solar #5, which was water damaged... :!:

Not a steal, but pretty good nowadays.

I would buy Pre-uni Solars for that price any day. And I would not sell at that price, so to me...... very good deal.

Wow!

What a weekend.

After finishing my JLE run on Thursday, I did not expect much from the weekend.

Market on Friday and Saturday, show on Sunday. Meh was about what I was expecting.

Boy was I wrong. Sure the markets went ahead as usual and there was a show in London today but all was more than meh.

Friday after market Ian and I pulled an all nighter to sort stock.

Saturday I was pointless because of the all nighter so after market went to bed.

Today the show was pretty busy, our tables always are because Draco and I are such cool guys and you really are lucky to know us :thumb:

On top of a good day selling, the stuff I picked up was great. I picked up so much rubbish it is scary. Oh and I got a few good bits too. All of it for me.

Check this out:

Starslayer #6-17, 21-34

People rate it and I like Grell’s stuff so how could I resist a near complete run of the first 30-odd comics

*SQUEE* Bunny #1-8

I have no idea what this is, other than weird, but it looks amusing and there is a small run.

The Original Astro Boy (First Comics) # 1-20

I like Astro Boy. 20 issues = WIN.

The Legend of Kamui: A Genuine Ninja Story # 1-12, 17-30, 32

And the tat pile keeps on growing

Area 88 # 3-42

An almost complete run of some manga rubbish I don’t have? I do now.

Mai the Psychic Girl # 1-23, 25-28

Another almost complete run of some manga rubbish I don’t have? I do now.

Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children # 3-12, 14-20, 23-30

My Piranha Press set gets a big jolt with this tasty little run of poop. So what if the 10 is a duplicate, it is pretty.

Invaders From Home # 1-6

More PP goodness to cross off the list

Psychonauts # 1-4

Chillers # 1&2

Two Gun Kid: The Sunset Riders # 1&2

3 sets of prestige format books? For me? Why thank you.

Negative Burn # 2, 3, 5, 7-49

With #1, 4 and 6 which are lying around in a pile of stuff in my hallway added to it, this suddenly becomes a formidable run of comics. Anyone got any idea what this finished on?

Got a pile of *SQUEE*-take books:

(Parody Press)
Zen: Intergalactic Ninja April Fool’s Special
Pitts #1
The Death of Stupidman
The Infinity Charade
Venumb
Babewatch

(Spoof Comics)
Iron Can
Mable
Spoon
Wolverbroad
Hobo
Wolverbroad vs. Hobo
Goatrider versus Moobius
Excalibabes

Mythography #1-3, 7

I have a few odd anthology series on my wants list what’s one more?

Some Armada stuff:

Armed & Dangerous # 1-4+special
MTG: Nightmare
MTG: Convocations
MTG: The Shadow Mage # 1-4
MTG: Fallen Empires # 1&2+TPB
MTG: Ice Age # 1-4
MTG: Fallen Angel
MTG: Homelands
MTG: Dakkon Blackblade
MTG: Urza-Mishra War #1
MTG: Serra Angel

Also picked up a couple of the Dark Horse issues: Gerard’s Quest #1, 4

Also got a small pile of Concrete bits and bobs, and some random sets like, Sensei # 1-4 and Squalor # 1-4 from First, Godzilla # 1-6 and Madman / Jam # 1&2 from Dark Horse along with a big dog pile of random tat.

The sealed Savage Dragon vol. 15 HC for 2 quid was also a winner.

In fact, I think the whole lot from today is pretty much made of win.

Thanks for wasting your time on little old me.

best of the lot in my opinion was the Beautiful Stories For Ugly Children. That is a very tough set to put together and you have most of them in one fell swoop. Good job! :thumb:

Toughest issue to get BY FAR is #21. Dances with Cows. The TPBs are rarely seen as well. (I have the complete set and many multiples.)

I picked up some Piranha Tpbs from Comic Relief in Berkeley, CA today. (Rory Root's store which he left to his manager.)

They had a sale this weekend and I picked them up for $1 each.

Also picked up some Valiant bluebird Tpbs for $1 each as well.

Armed and D is a good gritty read.

I really liked the MGT books. Good stuff.

Not a super deal, but I got a sweet Daredevil 158 raw, that is at least NM if not NM+ for $60, which is kind of a big deal since I dont live in a huge area where you can find nice older books in high grade.
