Secret Invasion 4 Huge spoiler!
OK, I just finished issue 4.
Am I the only one who saw the last panel of that issue?
Is this the real deal or is this another fakeout?
I thought for sure he would come back in his own title.
Although he was on the ship from issue #1!
Let the debate begin.

Who? Captain America? If so, it looked like a very "glossy" uniform.nutflush76 wrote:OK, I just finished issue 4.

Yeah. I thought the same thing. So it may be Bucky and another Fakeout.Jrdawg wrote:Who? Captain America? If so, it looked like a very "glossy" uniform.nutflush76 wrote:OK, I just finished issue 4.

Sorry for not being so clear, I was trying to not upset the spoiler averse!

My hope is that it is Thor and Bucky.
I am in the "let Bucky become Cap and let Steve Rogers stay dead" camp. I really want to see Bucky grow into the roll and become as good of a Captain America as Steve Rogers was.
Plus, it doesn't make sense that they would get to NY from the Savage Land that fast. Keep in mind only a few hours have gone by -at the most- in these four issues so far.

Yeah, that looks like Thor (who has his own Secret Invasion miniseries coming up) and that's pretty unambiguously the current Capitan America's costume. Not a lot of suspense there.
But getting them together with the Avengers again, now that does leave me wondering about the future (be nice to bring back a "classic" line up for one of the teams).
Can't wait to see Bucky kick the crap out of some Skrulls.

Hmm... and along with the original Captain Mar-vell, I thought Bucky would always stay dead.Dr. Solar wrote:My hope is that it is Thor and Bucky.

Now, I see statements advocating that the real Cap stay "dead," and "Bucky' turn into Captain America.

Just depends on if a) the character's already been brought back or killed and b) if it's a storyline that is really good currently that would be absolutely destroyed if it was reversed.slym2none wrote:Hmm... and along with the original Captain Mar-vell, I thought Bucky would always stay dead.Dr. Solar wrote:My hope is that it is Thor and Bucky.

At least you don't have to worry about Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) since he is still very much dead.

That is so true . . . .
All the action in this series is happening in the tie in books and one-shots . . and some of the tie in books are really good . . . it's a shame . . .

They did it with Spider-woman so why not with Bucky? This issue made me think that maybe the invasion isn't gonna be wrapped up in this series, and maybe this is just the beginning of a longer story.
It would be pretty neat if the end result of Secret Invasion was that teh skrulls win, and the earth is now occupied, and the heroes are putting up soem sort of "secret resistance".

Maybe the heroes can all wear skrull masks so the skrulls won't know who is who. You know, use their tactics against them..Drift wrote:Ah yes, the secret resistance that everyone knows about including the SkrullsDr. Solar wrote:This issue made me think that maybe the invasion isn't gonna be wrapped up in this series, and maybe this is just the beginning of a longer story.

It is a good idea in theory but you can see a big skrull in the photo has black skinned hands and the small skrull has white skin.Dr. Solar wrote:Maybe the heroes can all wear skrull masks so the skrulls won't know who is who. They will know it is Powerman and Iron Fist before they even get close.

So, how far back does this "everyone's a Skrull" thing go?
I haven't bought new comics for over two years, are they going to ruin stuff I've already bought?
