I like his art... but he seems a little odd too.

Doesnt seem as though he will be doing any VALIANT work if he keeps to what he said in that speech. What a bummer.. :(

He is awesome, but this part of his speech is disappointing.

It could have been worse. At least he did what he did and didn't turn it down back then.

To be fair, even though he singled out Archer and Armstrong, it isn't a statement about A&A per se, but work-for-hire in general. As in, he's not doing it anymore.

I've got my own views on BWS and I've taken enough guff for it over the years, from people on both sides of the fence to fill ten lifetimes. Usually, the response I get comes from what appears to be a complete lack of ability of the other person to try to see the situation from both sides.

I love the man's work. I appreciate his talk about integrity. But I don't think he's an easy man to work with, but, that said, it is neither here nor there and has zero bearing on his TALENT or LEGACY. Will he ever return to comics? Who knows. Until that day does or does not come, we have a hell-a HELL, I say-of a body of work to enjoy.

my buddy actually had the chance to chat with him once about 10+ years ago, and said then he was sorta a jerk, but most great minds come off that way...I'm still a die hard BWS fan...my fav artist, hes the reason i picked up A&A and Valiant in the first place :cloud9:
