I will have to relook that one tomorrow. BAH, Bioshock got bumped by Bad Company AGAIN !!!! Whew, BC is such a blast... it is the supporting cast. The guy from Texas, he was quoting '300' during this huge battle... I nearly got whacked due to laughing so hard.dbostejano wrote:Yes sir, I don't have it, but I've seen it on HDTV, it's a big diffrence,Knightt wrote:But folks, lets NOT forget that having a HDTV is a MUST to really, REALLY enjoy the graphics capabilities of these systems like 360 and PS3.
When I finally plugged in my HDMI cables... well, I STILL have not gotten over how much better it looks with the HDMI cables.
BTW I FORGOT ONE OTHER GAME RECOMENDATION
DEAD RISING!!!! great game, HDTV is important for this game!!!!

That's why! In dead rising you didn't even know what the hell their saying!

I went out and got Mass Effect, and I am loving that game. Played it nearly all weekend.
Ninja Gaiden II, not so much. It looks pretty neat, but I hate the controls, and I couldn't pass one of the bosses easily (some ninja in the top of a building on fire), so I gave up. That one is going back to the store. Not sure what to trade it for, probably either Halo 3 or Gears of War.
Conan is much more to my liking, and it is pretty much the same game, only simpler. Not a great game, but nice when I feel like walking around as a barbarian and cutting people to pieces.
I haven't started Bioshock yet, but I am looking forward to it.

You may be able to swing both H3 and GoW for just a couple of bucks more. NG2 is a pretty new game and both of those are pretty old but are both great onlind games. If you get H3 I will definitely have to hook up with you. Let me know either way, I have a large group of friends (not kids, 30 somethings with jobs and kids) that play both of these on a regular basis. By regular basis I mean Friday nights and Sunday nights.Dr. Solar wrote:I went out and got Mass Effect, and I am loving that game. Played it nearly all weekend.

Heck I might even go and get GoW again if you get that and drag you along to play with my friends, we will both get destroyed by them but that's part of the fun.

From what I recall, GoW and H3 were both being sold used for the same price as Ninja Gaiden II was (I bought NGII used also).TKWill wrote:You may be able to swing both H3 and GoW for just a couple of bucks more. Is Gears of War just a first person shooter? I thought it was a tactical squad game, kinda like Republic Commando.
Either way, I'll get one of those two games by the end of the week.

Gow is not tactical at all, it's a run and gun, and it's not FPS.Dr. Solar wrote:From what I recall, GoW and H3 were both being sold used for the same price as Ninja Gaiden II was (I bought NGII used also).TKWill wrote:You may be able to swing both H3 and GoW for just a couple of bucks more. Halo 3 is a good game.
Ninja 2, can be hard but it's a very fun game once you get the hang of it.

GoW is a third-person shooter (as Dbos stated), but when you "scope" in you will go to a slow walk first person. GoW plays much like a FPS and you really won't notice the difference. The huge gameplay difference that you will notice is that the third-person is needed for the cover dynamic which is really cool. Rainbow Six: Vegas plays much the same. H3 gives you a true FPS.
One more thing, the gamevee.com beta is done and you can now upload your fileshare gameplay movies and clips from bungie.net (Halo 3) onto gamevee.com. This means you can post videos on the internet without a capture card.

I picked up Rainbow 6: Vegas, Burnout Revenge, and Viva Pinata last night.
Burnout is fun because, while I don't like racing games, I do like crashing games.
Rainbow 6 Vegas is pretty sweet. Seems like the kind of game I like. I'm looking forward to playing that one online.
I only got Viva Pinata because everyone here said it was good. Plus, I think I need a game where I don't just run around and shoot stuff.

This is one of those great games that is impossible to explain to someone that has no interest in games. A game where you are a pinata rancher.
I may just send you some animals from my ranch.

I built a house for 2 worm pinatas, and they did a "romance dance" and had a little baby pinata.
This game fits in nicely with my overall lifestyle change I am making to put more positive, happy things in my life. Even if it is kind of goofy.

There are a lot of games that are similar to this. Try the Legos movie trilogy games. Lots of humor and slapstick. These are great games and are infinitely replayable.Dr. Solar wrote:I played this morning for about half an hour, and I was almost late to work because of it!TKWill wrote:Stay Away from this one.
