Thought I could sneak one by
I found a little auction, four days had gone by and not one bid - thinking I could pull off about a good a deal as BrotherJ, I bid on it and crossed my fingers.
No luck, two others found it today, so here it is for everyone else to see and bid on!

BTW, the current bid of $35.89 is the top bidders maximum. Good luck, and happy bidding.

Normally I would bid on this but I want to pick up one of those All-Star Batman & Robin #10s

I hear that it's actually "lightly censored." Apparently the word got printed and then blacked-over, but you can still see the word if you get the light's angle just right.Brent wrote:Some copies have curse words in them. I heard another comic board's discussion on this and someone said "Who would actually destroy these and/or return them to DC?"
Ask geocarr - I have seen Russ at Capitol Comics return these kinds books when the publisher recalls them, even going so far as to pull all copies out of the customer's hold-bags.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

From the looks of eBay nobody destroyed these.slym2none wrote:I hear that it's actually "lightly censored." As for the swear words themselves it doesn't seem to be a big deal they are kinda hard to see anyway:

But it's gonna keep it's value because it appeals to people outside of the normal comic collecting community.
As far as the guys like Slym was talking about I am sure those guys are few and far between but they are out there.
I have a few questions for DC.
Why even put the words in the book at all?
Why not just letter it with lines through where the swear words would be?
Could this be a publicity stunt for a title who's sales are slowing?
I don't know if the sales really are sowing but the chronic lateness of this book is irritating a lot of people.
