Bowen Mini-Busts
I finally got to finishing rearrangment of this part of my Mini bust display.

I still need the original Bowen Iron Man bust, but I refuse to shell out for Shellhead when the asking price is usually so high for such a small piece.
I keep all the Iron Man villains bust on another shelf. I know Knightt is into Bowen busts in general. Anyone else? I generally keep my stuff to Iron Man... that's expensive enough (and believe me this is not even the tip of the iceburg).

Thanks! Yeah, I've been doing some rearranging so I'll get some additional pix up soon.
I had two of the Lifesized IM bust ordered from Sideshow. I cancelled both orders when I found out that they weren't going to limit & number the piece. This is riduculous considering it's price and implied colletibility. Technically, they could just decide to keep making the bust forever, and their close to $700 price point is just too much for something that technically could be made infinitely.
I've seen all of the new Iron Man statues coming out and several of them look great. I've put a lot of statue buying on hold though for space, if not financial reasons. It used to be that one or two statues a year was an acceptable dollar amount when averaged across the months, but Iron Man statues have been crawling out of the woodwork like crazy for a while now. Essentially, it's cliche now to release an Iron Man statue and it's not realistic to buy even a few, let alone them all when you've got a collection the size of mine.
I am slightly interested in the new 1:4 scale Mark I you mentioned though.... the only other Clunker armor statue is the original Bowen T.O.S. #39 swipe statue from years back....

I agree . . they did finally limit the piece to 1500 pieces, which is a lot for a 1:1 bustIMJ wrote:Thanks! Yeah, I've been doing some rearranging so I'll get some additional pix up soon.

I expect to be able to get one of these for cheaper down the road a little.
Space is a major issue in this hobby . . . just like anything else, it pays to buy only what you love . . .IMJ wrote:I've seen all of the new Iron Man statues coming out and several of them look great. That statue really is pretty cool . . and I don't know of anything else like it out there right now . . .IMJ wrote:I am slightly interested in the new 1:4 scale Mark I you mentioned though.... the only other Clunker armor statue is the original Bowen T.O.S. #39 swipe statue from years back....

Well the only other thing close to that Maquette would be to pick up the Hot Toys Mark I. I wouldn't mind getting all three of the Hot Toys Iron Man figs, but those too are a fortune (each). If I could find them at a discounter then I'd be all about it....siren3-4 wrote:That statue really is pretty cool . . and I don't know of anything else like it out there right now . . .
