There really wasn't much 'civil' about that war, was it?

maraxusofkeld: Impressive...most impressive. the complete set in that condition is truly a tough find, and the variants really round out the collection! I know you spent a good amount of time looking! Good luck on the Lili Ledy collection...time and money is right..BUT it's the only affordable way for us "common-folks" to get the "rocket firing fett"!

my collection of basic loose is almost complete, as I'm collecting them all in AFA U85 condition. Then I'll start on some variants (I have a few)...after that, I'll probably head over to the Ledy collection (but NOT in AFA uncirculated grade..that would nearly impossible!).

I have most of the vintage vehicles and playsets too, but havent had that time to post pics of them on here. The only ledys that I have now are the removable rocket fett, Nien NUmb, and a stormtrooper. I'd like to get finished with the playsets and vehicles, but joes from the 80's have been the new sickness for now.

I buy a few Star Wars figures from time to time nowadays. I mostly look for Darth Vader and any of the Sith Lords.

I did order the Storm Trooper pack that Diamond solicited having a Star Wars Legacy Sith Lord and the first female storm trooper figure. I'm very fond of the Star Wars: Legacy comics so this should be a nice addition.

I had most of the newer figures through 2003 but lost them all in Katrina. A few that I wish I still had: a complete red card set with early variations, Fruit Loops Han, and the The Special Edition Jedi Luke.

I did evacuate with my complete standard vintage set (Star Wars- POTF) but need a few upgrades. Maybe when I finish school I’ll work on those and the variants.

I had a huge amount of all my original Star Wars figures and playsets up until about 1997, when I decided to sell it all off and pay for my wedding. No regrets, those bad boys paid for a good chunk of it....and she's still married to me.

Probably the more rarer pieces I had were the Droid Factory playset, and the first Collector's Case (the rectangular one before the Darth Vader head release). I also had a couple of oddball one-man vehicles from the Hoth/Empire stuff, but I can't recall the names of it. Of the figures, I had the mail-away Boba Fett (sans firing rocket) and the mail-away old dude Anakin from ROTJ. I kind of wish I still had that one, if I knew Lucas was goinng to obliterate him from the film print!

Hey guys, I know that I am less than 15 figures away from having my vinatage SW figures set complete. A set started for me by my grandmother (R.I.P.)... is there anyone here who has a few extras that can help me finish these up (once I recalculate which ones I need ?).

I don't want to trade, I just want to pay for them (as I have nothing of SW importance to trade any longer). I only collect loose figures w/ weapons, a bit of wear is find as that ensures that they had been played with a few times and no loose limbs. That is what I try to look for... anyone want to get something going. I figure this might be the closest thing I have to be able to complete this collection.

I have them stored in plastic bags, with weapons inside a tupperware box. Crazy thing is I have ONE... only ONE thing from my childhood and that is the Texas Instruments LCD Star Wars watch that my folks bought me from either Sears of K-Mart. Damned if I can find a photo of it.

I would also give my right nut to own a workable one of these:

I hav esome star wars figs that I was
planning to sell. I was actually going to
ask what is the best way to sell them on eBay?

Probably not the ones you need, they are:

obi wan 1977 (with robe and blue light saber with the tip)
vader 1977 (with robe and Orange light saber with the tip)
chewy 1977 with gun
boba fett 1979 with gun
bosk with gun 1980
greedo with gun 1978
2 snaggletooths 1978 (the small red guy)without guns

I had a complete set of the loose vintage figs that I completed back in 1998 or so but sold a few of the higher end ones a couple years back. Got rid of a blue snaggletooth, YakFace and a ROTJ carded Boba Fett. Got good prices out of 'em but kinda wish now my set was still complete. Currently I have about 20-25 carded and the rest loose. I was buying all of the new stuff until Episode 1 came out and like many others was dissapointed by the marketing saturation and non-realized expectations of the movie. I still have to check out the toy isle when at a department store. Some cool stuff and I occasionally pick up a figure, but I would not even dream about spending lots of money on it now.

Anyone have any experience with the quality control samples?

I think that I have a couple of carded quality control samples from ROTJ. maybe 77-backs. Bib-fortuna and AT-ST driver if I am not mistaken.

I have been trying to setup a rebelscum.com forum account to ask those folks, but figured someone here might know.

My questions are, what is the value of such an item and should I get the item graded? They arent in great shape, yellow bubble, cracks and dents in bubble...could I have it graded in the loose form? what would be best? I know where they are at the house, but I dont think that i could easily dig them out for any pictures, but fairly certainly they are quality control samples based on a call to afa and some pictures on the internet.

thanks.

What do you mean by quality control samples? To my knowledge most of those types of figures are loose not carded. If the bubbles are cracked and broke it may b e better to grade as loose figures. If you could post pictures, I could help a lot more !
