What's wrong with this picture:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 64354&rd=1

Authentic or not, as written, is this something that anyone would want?

Well, technically I would say Don Perlin's autograph is something to have. Even one of 2000 identical ones.

Yup. Maybe Don was lazy that day and figured that he could reduce his signature energy output by 16.7% by dropping the 'R'. Who knows.

It is almost tempting to buy the comic just to see the signature closer...

/Magnus

PS, for more shame look at his other auctions. He's stolen Greg's format without giving credit.

I got Don to autograph a couple of Solars for me once, and he signed one of them DON PERIN.

Not so bad, I guess. Over the years my signature has devolved into a bunch of squiggles.

No, that was a Solar 1. He signed and remarked the case. I took it apart.

I guess that it depends on the day of the week. Maybe he drops the 'R' on Tuesdays and the 'L' on Thursdays.

Makes me wonder if he ever finished signing a stack and then noticed that he had left off the 'R' for all of them. "Oops, whatever."

Yeah I was gonna make note of that. If not alone for the high cost of these comics.

Especially when all of the books that go for any amount are not even part of the lot.

Looks like she thought that seeing a Visitor ad on the back would be more appealing to a buyer. Bottom part of the book towards the spine looks pretty rough. I would say she probably bought it at a yard sale.
