You know, I hate to be cynical, but as excited as I am about these, I truthfully can't see any of these titles lasting terribly long. Again, I just don't see the market sustaining it.
But maybe Dark Horse is basing this outing on the interest they got in the GK hardcovers and thereby know something we don't.
I hope they prove me dead wrong, too!!

I certainlay agree, I know people have bought the hardcovers but have zero interest in any new books with them in, so we'll see.Tim wrote:You know, I hate to be cynical, but as excited as I am about these, I truthfully can't see any of these titles lasting terribly long. Fortunately, a company like DH doesn't have to sell a huge number of issues to be on the right side of things. They probably aren't paying their writers and artists the huge page rates of the big 2 guys and I'd imagine there isn't nearly as much overhead.Tim wrote:You know, I hate to be cynical, but as excited as I am about these, I truthfully can't see any of these titles lasting terribly long. I do agree that it's going to be tough though.

Cool to see that Dark Horse Presents is still being launched. So the title count is up to 6 now?Jay Tomio wrote:Actually they just got back. DHP will still be relaunching AND each of the above will have separate series.
They should just rename the anthology book "Jim Shooter Presents" so his old properties get featured on there too....(Plasm, Fatale, Dark Dominion....)
They can even do a "Dogs of War" reunion story since Georges Jeanty is on the Buffy title too.
I'd buy it!

Jewel Of The Summertime!
Thanks for all the info folks! These books will bring me back to comic shops for the first time in a long time!
I do have hopes of a crossover that can work for the benefit of both companies although I know its wishful thinking, it would really be the smart move for both camps, time will tell.
Cheers to 2010, hope its much better than '09.
