Great stuff Dan. I know how much you like Kevin Kobasic work and I am sure you were very pleased to get more of his artwork. I really like the last one with the Psi-Lords in it.

Right on. Glad you guys like. I've been looking for years to find
some Kobasic Magnus pages. Previously I only had one. His
Waterworld stuff would come up time to time on ebay, but never
his MRF stuff. Charles' inks are fantastic. Lots of sharp detail, contrasts,
and effects. There is blue pencil work that can be seen on the pages
which is always nice too. Kind of lets you see the work in progress
without it being distracting. Also, a couple of the pages have some
pencil sketches on the back side. I'll try to get them scanned in and posted.
I have the cover to this book (by Dave Ross) that I've owned for
about 5 years. So it's a bonus being able to match it up with some
interiors. Thank you Charles for working with me on these!

less marvel footed was an indication that Kevin, in his desire to put practiaclly everything on a diagonal, had one fo teh psi lords with an enlongated and curved foot that was just a little too much for the editor's tastes! I can't recall which one it was however, as I followed instructions and shortened the foot slightly.

The photocopy of the blooodshot cover should give you an idea of why the rain that is falling looks rather torrential. i wanted to give Kevin what he was looking for, and, hopefully, the reader a sense of just how much water was coming down. It becomes a pattern its so dense, and it interferes with your field of vision.

Its a shame that the colors on those pages didn't do the justice to the B&W artwork. I always felt that the book done with photoshop colors would killer, especially with Kevin's liking of high contrast. but we were stuck with horrible production values and techniques (while Image was taking the lead in slick looking books).

I'm always glad to add another Solar sketch to the collection.
