Bob Layton's return to Hercules

Post by Second_Death »

Noticed this while browsing dcbs in anticipation of future Dark Horse releases. Many of you may have already been aware but this was news to me.

The first 2 Herc minis that Bob created were fun reads so I look forward to reading his latest effort with this character in Twilight Of A God from Marvel. Always good to see a Valiant alum maintaining a presence in the industry. Good luck Bob! :thumb:

I am optimistically hoping this gets good reviews form other board members and then I plan to buy the trade or HC. I read and re-read the first two 4 issue limited series as a kid and love them.

Found it in the Specials section of their website. Marvel is publishing it. I think Bob is writing and someone else is providing the art.

Shame that Bob isn't doing the art. Bought a copy of the Graphic Novel, Full Circle of Mile High Comics last year. Was a book that I didn't even know existed.

What the heck happened with Hercules? Did Doc Samson have a garage sale, getting rid of his rejected costumes?

Read that Ron Lim is the artist. Lim and Layton worked together handling the art on Legacy Of Doom, and the art in that book was good.

So hopefully Bob will be inking the book. Either way I'll pick it up when it's been collected.

Interesting why he never self-published his own version of Hercules with previous self-published company or anywhere else...
