I agree. People never learn.Crow331 wrote:You think that's a lot? You should see the price tag I got quoted on the original art to the new Wizard Solar cover coming out soon .... How does $4,500 grab you? That does include shipping and insurance thoughsonicdan wrote:You can but the original art for $500 a page!JustCallMeAric wrote:Very excited but the art looks like crap... by the way, I have seen the cover and it is amazinggggg ... just not THAT amazing. I will post it when the cover finally comes out. I was sworn to secrecy.
I think people think they are going to ride this "Second Comingl" to the moon, Alice and this is the 90's all over again! Sheesh!

Just thought I'd pass this info along...
I just got the skinny from Mail Order Comics on how to get the 1:5 variant cover for Solar 1 from them. You have to order 5 copies of the regular cover at their discounted price and you'll receive 1 of the variants.
DCBS is actually allowing you to order a 1:5 variant for cover price.

That is pretty sweet!
"Whitmore Pickerel has the power to create living beings out of nothingness, creating new entities designed to suit his own increasingly selfish desires. But now his living, breathing, tremendously powerful creations have turned against him and are pursuing their own agendas. The Man of the Atom fights fiercely to cut short the swath of looting and destruction left in the wake of Glow and Leviathan -- and at the climax of the savage conflict, he does something no hero has done before! Meanwhile, Pickerel's fear of his own creations drives him to conjure a supremely powerful guardian to protect himÉbut what he accomplishes opens the door to disaster. Enter: Moloch, the Devourer. The Man of the Atom is forced to pit his godlike power against the power of a god! "
Also, I just saw that on DCBS they have issue #1 at 75% off, limit two and as someone else mentioned they have the variant at cover price. Does anyone use this service? I have a new baby and I don't think I'm going to have time to pick these titles up every month at my local store. I might sign up to one of these services.

I ended up pre-ordering from DCBS instead of Mail Order Comics. The price at DCBS is 99 cents for the regular issue and 3.50 for the variant while Mail Order wants $2.17 for the regular and as Starbrand pointed out, you have to order 5 of these to get the variant (which is not even listed on the site).

Discussion by some of our members who have used them prompted me to give it a try. No negative feedback about TFAW yet other than the pricing isn't as low as MOC or DCBS. Their service, however, appears to be top shelf. Placed my first order this week so we shall see.orbitalshift wrote:Does anyone here have a history with TFAW? I will likely give them a shot, though it makes me a bit queasy trying a new online store for books that I am looking so forward to.
